Two observations...

First: The article points out, "The rate of quiting jobs usually rises when employees are finding new and better-paying jobs". And yet the quit rates didn't rise, which indicates better paying jobs aren't to be had.

Second: Average household income has dropped substantially since Obama took office, down over $4,000 per family and still dropping. That also indicates better paying jobs are no where to be found. In fact, they are becoming even more scarce as Obama's economic "recovery" continues.

Both these facts indicate conclusively that our economy is still losing better paying technical jobs. Over 6 million manufacturing jobs have been lost overseas the past 6 years with the number still climbing. These jobs continue to be replaced with growing numbers of low-paying (minimum wage) service-sector jobs.

This latest report is hardly anything for the Obama administration to brag about. It's little wonder Obama continues ignoring our immigration laws and allows more uneducated and unskilled illegal migrants into our country by the hundreds of thousands to take these low-paying jobs. That in turn suppresses wages and leaves very little incentive for employers to ever raise wages.

Hey Brio –

“Better paying jobs . . . . are becoming even more scarce as Obama's economic ‘recovery,’ continues.”

That would not be true if Republicans had cooperated with Obama jobs initiatives.

Obama’s 2011 Jobs’ Bill, for example , was summarily shot down by Republicans in Congress. That bill would have provided good paying jobs to millions building infrastructure and in support industries.

It made PERFECT sense. We need infrastructure for present and future growth, and we need good jobs, and at the time, building supplies, following the law of supply and demand, were extremely cheap. The nation would have gotten a very good deal overall. But Republicans just had to DESTROY any chance of decent jobs.

That was back when McConnell decreed that the first goal of the GP was not helping the people of the nation. The real goal of the Republican Party was to prevent Obama from being reelected. They tried, and of course they failed. (Republicans fail a lot.) But in the process they harmed America.

Now it’s become a habit with Republican politicos. Republicans concentrate on obstruction and destruction.

It’s what defines them. It’s what they do.

More low paying jobs is not good news for Demo. They will have NOTHING to run on in the November elections at all, except, "Its all the GOP and Bush's fault".

Employers have higher cost to so who get the hit. no raise, no overtime, shorter hours. I think Wall mart got a few more store greeters, retired people trying to feed them self because they can't live on ssi.

NOOOOOOOOOO!

Absolutely no good news allowed while we have this President.

Nothing good can happen while Barack Obama is in office, there must be some really horrible spin to this report.

I'm going to go to watch Fox News and get back to you on how this is actually bad for America.
