10 stars for Mountanmans point.
No matter how you spin it. No matter the reason.Forcefully taking
from one, and giving it to another. Is called theft. Stealing! We
the people should not permit this.Allow people the dignity of
working for what they get. Allow people to voluntarily give of themselves with
helping others. As for the feds. Stay out of our pockets!Your handling, and budgeting of tax payer welfare money do not pass
It sounds like Pres. Clinton's goal of ending welfare as we now see it.
It's definitely not Mr. Obama's objective.
Mr. worf, I'll accept the compliment in the first part of your last post.
Thanks. If you are trying to put words in my mouth, however, you'll have to
@Mark B,You're amazing!There are plenty of work
disabled people can do.You like to focus on how achieving people are
greedy, and must pay their fair share. How they prospered of the backs of the
poor. After all "successful people didn't build
that", "someone else did that". Obama 101
Mark Bdon't know if my response posted, but it was incomplete. You have a problem with people maintaining their dignity while receiving
aid?The article is incomplete – had you done a little checking
before just chastising the right, you would have found that pregnant women and
some others, including those who are considered physically or mentally unable to
work, are exempt.I would not call that social DarwinismCan you tell us why liberal CA has the highest poverty rate and largest income
gap in the nation? I guess that is where the REAL social Darwinism can be
@ Mark B: During President Barack Obama’s first term, the number of
Americans collecting federal disability insurance increased by 1,385,418 to a
record 8,827,795. As a result, there is now one person collecting disability in
this county for every 13 people working full-time.One of two possibilities
exist with this issue:A: The work place has become exponentially more
dangerous since Obama took office!B: A record number of people are gaming
the system.Which do you think it is???
Any suggestions for disabled people in NM who can't or perhaps never could
work? Or do these posts just boil down to another attempt to base all laws on
providing a way to recover dignity while on public assistance is a good
thing.the same thing happened in the biblical story of Joseph in
Egypt. during the 7 lean years, he requried the people to buy the grain Pharoah
had stored; when they ran out of money, they had to borrow against thier land.
That way when the 7 year drought ended, the people had incentive to go back to
work and grow their own - they did not become dependent on the government and
retained their dignity
Two things will happen, wait and see: #1:Democrats will oppose it claiming
it discriminates! #2:If enacted most welfare recipients will move to other
states where they don't have to work, i.e. California or Nevada!
People build pride knowing they worked for their substance.Great
