One must wonder if we have a policy that will allow the parents to come forward and return to their home country with their children. The United States would arrange transportation to a major airport back home.
It appears the parents have doubled down here, putting their own children at risk.
Come forward and agree to self-deportation or your children will be turned over to an adoption agency.
We must not be played for fools here.
And it is strange that Mrs. Pelosi did not answer the question that the federal government has been staffing for this crisis since January. It sounds like the whole thing was planned by the administration.

What good will more useless laws that Obama will never enforce do since he refuses to enforce the laws already on the books?

Nobody ever told M-man that the Obama administration has sent back more undocumented immigrants that any other administration? Exactly what immigration policy would make M-man happy, or does it simply cease to matter once a Republican becomes president?

Mark B. Totally false! Thousands of illegal immigrant children from Central America are crossing the borders every day and then are transported all over the US and left at bus stations for the states to take care of, all gifts, compliments of B Obama. Wise up!

In the first place, why is Palosi in Texas? That's not her state. If I were Rick Parry, I'd shoo her out.

But, we know why she's there. She's a democrat and she can see hundreds of thousands of democrat voters for future elections pouring into the country. These democrats will do almost anything to stay elected... including jeopardizing our country's security.

Secondly, what are we paying the border patrol agents hundreds of millions in wages for? They're supposed to be guarding our country's borders so that immigrants cannot enter illegally. Instead, they welcome the illegals with open arms, transporting them to the nearest boarding houses where they're put up and provided meals... at taxpayer expense. Then they're transported to other cities to stay where immigration lawyers are provided to present their cases to immigration judges, also all at taxpayer expense. This is ridiculous.

If the border patrol isn't going to secure the borders and prevent this illegal invasion as they are being paid to do, they should just quit, go home, and let the illegals find their own way. They will likely all remain in the US anyway.

First off, it is not the dealing with "immigrants" that is the subject, it is the Invasion of Illegal Aliens. Still the same ole Shell Game.

Some FYIs: This "flood" of Illegal Alien children has been happening since DACA, two years ago. Some of the "flood" includes working age adults, with or without these same children. Since there is already a five-year backlog of Illegal Immigration cases, this same "flood" will be established with their family members, going to our schools, using our social services, etc. and, five years later, will then be sympathetic cases for leniency (again) for amnesty since "this is the only home they know." This will prove (again) that giving incentives to the 12-30 Million Illegal Aliens we already have only increases the "flood" of Illegal Immigration.

Also, why is it more difficult to ship these Illegal Aliens back to their home countries posthaste? Isn't there a recent invention called jets? I'd rather Obama's request for $2 Billion be used for that purpose. Since his previous and current policy has been to turn back those crossing the border (supposedly) immediately, why is this not being done in this case?

"Obama to seek more than $2 billion in border aid..."

Is he off his rocker? Why does the US taxpayer have to pay to provide room and board for a bunch of illegals? If he insists on not exporting these illegals immediately (and he doesn't, despite what he's saying in public) he should take the funding out of foreign aid to the countries from whence they come... including Mexico who refuses to secure its southern border.

I knew this would be the case.

"Conservatives" incessantly whine about illegals and border security, but when Obama asks for money to facilitate border security "Conservatives" are against that too.

It looks to me like "Conservatives" aren't really FOR anything that is good.

Apparently, their only desire is to engage in continual political terrorism against the US Government and the people of the United States.

@GaryO:
"'Conservatives' incessantly whine about illegals and border security, but when Obama asks for money to facilitate border security 'Conservatives' are against that too."

Obama has all the money required to secure the borders.

What he needs to do is tell his border patrol agents, who are being paid huge salaries, to stop letting illegals in. That's what securing the border means. Don't let them in at the border. If they cross the border and are apprehended inside this country, turn them around and escort them back to the border. Let Mexico figure out what to do at that point.

Is he telling the agents to do this? No. He's told them to accept illegals with outstretched arms, take them to a facility where they can get free room and board, and get the diapers changed, and bottles heated. The illegals know this and that's why they keep coming in droves.

So you want US border agents to take these little children, point them south, and tell them to start marching across the desert, long after the coyotes who brought them north have vanished into the scrub brush.

Of course, that would effectively be a death sentence for these kids, but that's OK with you.

I'm not surprised at this "Conservative" point of view.

How did Mexico protect their border from a wondering Marine?

Our political leaders are betraying the country. Pathetic, and shameful!

When House Speaker Boehner clearly stated that there's "no chance of immigration reform in 2014," then who is playing politics? Is it the President? Hardly. That's why the President is taking action with or without them. U.S. Chamber of Commerce Tom Donohue said, "If the Republicans don't do it they shouldn't bother to run a candidate in 2016. I mean, think about that. Think about who the voters are," DUH!
