So will little Johnny get his mom's lunch sack for lunch or a government 'Obama-meal'...to go along with his 'Obama-books' and his 'Obama-clothes'. It takes a village ...not a mother ....remember? According to Hillary.

I'm still not understanding why the first lady thinks she is over the school lunch program and the obese police. I am also not understanding why the first lady thinks she is an expert on raising our children as well as her background in nutrition. She was an attorney and taught school with barack and lived off of government grants. Not exactly a background in nutrition. She has a large staff that cares for her and her two kids. Not exactly a peasant like the rest of us....

However, people seem to believe that giving all of the power to the government to babysit them is the way to go. Yet they can't stop there. They want to force everyone into the same loser system that has been proven time and time again to be a failure.

The only comfort, is the knowledge that $17 Trillion of debt is going to nip us in the butt in the future. The whole system will collapse and then the true power struggle begins.

Do you liberals know what is happening to your "health food" forced served at public schools? Check the garbage can! Don't believe it? Ask the school lunch room employees!

The photo with this article shows the true Michelle "For the first time in my life I'm finally proud to be an American" Obama: totally shocked and offended that someone might actually disagree with her.

My 11 yr old daughter tells me routinely what she had for lunch, as in, every single thing that was on her plate that day. In the last 2 years, all due to Michelle's pushing, the quality and overall health of my daughters' meals, and the quality and overall health of her fellow students' school lunches, have drastically declined.

A cheese quesadilla for the main course? Really?

And, yes, I do blame Michelle for this because Congress wasn't pushing for these school lunch changes before her husband got into office.

This is Mrs Obama's way of getting in the news while also looking like she's contributing. As another comment noted, she has no background in nutrition whatsoever. Why not let experts create guidelines... but not mandates.

Each school district is different. So consequently needs the room to adjust to it's own peculiarities. There are cultural and economic differences across the country that effect students' eating habits. Various school districts need the authority to adjust accordingly.

What good does it do to force on kids food that they won't eat... and thus most of it ends up in the garbage can? Besides being a big waste of food and money, the kids end up being less healthy overall. This program initially sounds like a good idea, but ends up being unrealistic and more unwanted government intrusion into the lives of it's citizens.

Where in the Constitution is the authority given for the government to dictate even the eating habits of Americans? It isn't! The last New York City mayor wanted to mandate the size of soft-drinks people can buy. We seriously need to put a reign on government control of our lives.
