The fallout from over 40 years of liberal democratic rule over Detroit city just keeps coming and coming. Well, voters can't say they weren't warned by a myriad of different Republicans every 4 years. But eventually everyone reaps the fruits of their choices. And so it keeps happening.

Hey Brio -

40 years of Democratic rule? It's been more than that.

Detroit has Democratic mayors since 1948, except for four years, in the late 50's.

So . . . That's 62 years of Democratic rule . . . throughout those many decades when the US automobile manufacturers were king, and Detroit was the Mighty Motor City of the world.

But then, foreign competitors kicked their production into high gear, and started making more reliable cars than the US, and as the public caught on and started buying foreign makes, the domestic auto industry took a hit, and Detroit began its decline.

That's sort of thing has happened countless times. Dodge City did great as long as Texas drovers drove their herds to the Dodge City railhead. Tombstone AZ was quite prosperous until the silver ran out. Ghost town dot the nation. And the cause is always the same. The key industry evaporated, and the money left.

To associate Detroit's decline with Democratic Rule is farfetched, but I know it's acceptable pablum for the consumption of willfully deluded "Conservatives," as is a mound of other misinformation they keep passing around.
