perhaps this era of the federal govt 2009 - 2016 should have some historical tag attached to it - "the era of scandal". Looking back all the way to John F Kennedy I can never remember a time in our history of more scandal and corruption. Perhaps "The Obama Years - culture of corruption" would be a nice book title.

1. Fast n Furious
2. Benghazi
3. IRS targeting conservatives
4. Obamacare and the Cornhusker Kickback and all other bribes and lies to pass the bill not
to mention the web site and the law itself with its dump truck full of out right lies.
5. VA Hospital scandal

Now throw in all the election scandal with registering dead people and poll place intimidation and unheard of voting percentages in counties all Democrat and the list goes on and on.

Without question the Obama administration is THE most corrupt in US history and THE most untransparent to boot.

As with Major League Baseball the era of 1990's to about 2005 will for ever be know as the STEROID era where all records will be ignored so with politics the era 2009-2016 will for ever be known as the most corrupt and saddest in America political history.

This is what Mr. Obama specifically promised in a 2009 campaign speech. Five years late, what was he waiting for?

If they can't provide care for a small number of veterans, how are they supposed to provide care for 300 million of the rest of us? The simple answer is they can't and will never be able to.

More of obama's political opportunism. Whatever polls show might damage him from a PR standpoint suddenly he is out front attempting to take credit acting outraged and demanding change and reforms.

He has known for years, as every politician does, about these problems at the VA.

They just act outraged because they are looking for votes.

These are the same politicians that have passed cuts in VA funding. These are the same politicians that have built an impenetrable bubble around the VA that does not allow proper performance improvement our external scrutiny.

This works as well as politicians being in charge of giving themselves pay increases.

Poor veterans have only one source of healthcare. The govt bureaucracy has no competition so they begin to think they are the important ones instead of the patients that they are supposed to take care of.

Shocker. Government fails again.

When will people ever learn?

Move slow, and hope the people will forget about it. Just let it blow over.

Remember how fast Obama moved on the stimulus package, and pushing his healthcare?

I think all of our health care problems would be fixed immediately if all government officials had the same healthcare as the general public or in this case veterans. If elected officials had the same healthcare insurance as veterans and saw the same doctors, etc., there would be higher standards expected and provided. It is so easy to cut funding when its not hurting the person casting the vote.
