Beautiful, strong daughter. Her parents are doing well raising her.

When you are part of the problem, sending one a resume is really a waste of time! This little girl could do better sending her fathers resume out to a maker rather than another taker like the Obama's!

@ Truth, I find your comment to be offensive on so many levels. To say the Obamas are takers is not only factually incorrect, but disrespectful. And on a more macro level, the President has led an economic recovery from the utter disaster left by the prior Administration. I am sure the facts cause you pain, but you will just have to deal with it. More venom helps no one. Further, the fact the Mrs. Obama made a point of not forgetting the resume speaks to big hearts and concern for those who aren't mega-rich. I will be greatly interested to hear the follow up on this story.

Because of Obama, the middle class has greatly suffered in America. May I send Mrs. Obama my new much more expensive Obamacare health insurance plan, since her husband promised me I could keep my much less expensive old one? And I am still waiting for the $2500 per year my family was promised we would save each year in healthcare premiums because of Obamacare! How does that little girl know anything Obama tells her won't just be another lie?

The last job the father had was working for the campaign to re-elect President Obama in 2012. He was successful in helping Obama get re-elected, and now because of the economy Obama affects with his policies, the man has not been able to get a job since. You can't make this stuff up.

While I agree that truth's comments were offensive, your naivete is more offensive as Obama has done squat in office other than spending tax payer money on vacation time and using pretty words to make it sound as if he actually has had anything to do with the economic recovery. When you quote 'facts' you need to quote facts and not the pschobabble the media feeds you. Thid Baker and Cactus have a better understanding of what Obama himself has done for this country. Nonetheless this girl should be applauded for what she did. Either way because of her actions I believe her dad will have a job soon. It may not be with the administration but the story is out there and someone is bound to notice and offer him a job as long as he has the qualifications to merit.

Truth is offensive?

Hundreds of millions for vacations is not part of Obama's wage. This is factually correct with many news organizations. The Obama's may not have that kind of money on their own. If they did, where did it come from?

And we are upset with grazing fees?

@ Tajemnica, you may despise the President, but your assertions about the President don't hold any water at all. You claim I quote "the pschobabble (sic) the media feeds you." I really don't know what you are referring to. I can point to the numbers and reality. Note, for example, an economy in 2008 that was in such dire shape, there was talk about suspending the Presidential campaign. It was the beginning of the worst recession since the Great Depression. We have, by the numbers, finally recovered and the business sector is experiencing its greatest profits in a very long time. I can go on, but you really can't. You, Thid, Cactus and other critics take shots, but you offer no facts and nothing based on what really goes on in the world. I would very much appreciate constructive comments. Perhaps in 2016, you can give me affirmative reasons to vote for the radical right wing instead of tearing down the twice elected leader of the country. I doubt it though.

@TRUTH
It's symbolic. They don't actually expect a job from Michelle, they're highlighting something that needs further action. Maybe Boehner can pick up one of those jobs bills Obama wants...

@worf
"If they did, where did it come from?"

Taxpayers cover things like security detail (something that of course is kind of a given wherever they are anyway) but personal expenses are not paid for with taxpayer money. And for all your and Tajemnica's focus on vacations, Obama's taken fewer of them than Bush did (on a per year basis, just so you don't assume I'm merely comparing 5 years to 8).

To "Schnee" actually, when you look at Bush's time away from Washington and compare it to Obama, you find that Bush was just working from home while Obama is out on an actual vacation.

Did you see the report where some news agencies actually compared how much Obama's vacations cost taxpayers vs. Bush? So far Obama is the biggest spender of your tax money for his vacations.

@Schnee:

It's discrimination to excuse Obama, and not Bundy.

Did Obama pay vacation fees?

Here's my question...Dad is unemployed...but apparently, since this girl was at a "take your kid to work" day, Mom works in the White House.

Meaning Dad is a stay at home Dad, and they have apparently been making ends meet for three years living in the DC area, but for some reason...they think there is a problem?

That's the real story here. What a sad commentary on our society.
