@Every Neo-con on here posting...We told you so! Let the excuses and talk about
inflated numbers begin.
EsquireSpringville, UTMarketing the ACA was deceitful from the
start. None of the terms, i.e. keep your doctor, universal coverage, keep your
plan, each family will save $2500, it will bend the cost curve down, cost below
$1 trillion when the actual cost is over $2.5 trillion, vote for it and then you
can read it, were meant to inform, but rather to beguile. Trust must begin
somewhere and current reliable statistics would be a start. And not from the
mendacious Jay Carney. According to Mr. Carney, when 6 million lose their
coverage it is an insignificant small number but when signing up for the ACA
"surges" to 100,000 it is momentous.
@ BYU sports on TV in Missouri, what has Obamacare given away that is a parallel
to free freight, free warehousing and below cost prices? All it has done
essentially is have people be more responsible and obtaining health insurance.
Your attack is incomprehensible. Make a substantive comment instead of a shot,
and let's discuss it further. Until then, we know that the influx of 7 to
9 million people is the biggest health insurance expansion since forever.
Hopefully, the insured will benefit and we will see fewer medical bill induced
bankruptcies, which will help us all. Now we need to take additional steps
rather than just sitting still.
I knew a sales manager once who made a big deal about hitting his sales number
in order to qualify for his bonus. Then it was learned he had given everyone
free freight....and free warehousing... and sold the produts well below
cost..... and promised shipments quicker than lead times would permit. He got
the orders but the cost to the company put them out of business. Sounds alot
like Obamacare. When you look at the how much more was spent than what was in
the original budget even the military would blush.
Compiling the numbers, as requested by one commenter, sounds innocent enough
until you add the snarkiness of demanding the numbers to be available the next
day or two from deadline. Because of the way the request was worded, I would
submit he is going for anything he can use to complain about the ACA. If the
numbers are not available on April 2nd, then he can complain. If they were
available, he could find something wrong with them or use them to say "see,
we are paying out this much to all those who don't deserve our tax
money."There are statistics and there are......statistics.
It's what you do with them. Let's all look at life seeking the
@ Stephen Kent Ehat, what is your point? If it's an attack on the ACA,
then say so. If it's an attack on disclosed spending, then could you add
military and espionage spending to that? Not even most of Congress knows those
numbers, and they spend it!
Is it just me or is there anyone who believes this government ?
Utah spites itself and misses the boat. The Utah Legislator and Governor made
political points while the successful ship sailed. Rent Senator Lee a dingy to
chase it down and sink it.
I respectfully request that the United States Government report by 8:00 a.m. on
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 -- oops, that's April Fool's Day -- I
respectfully request that an entity independent of the United States Government
report by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 (to avoid April Fool's Day)
the following very simple-to-obtain statistics:1. The number of
persons who signed up on the ACA Website;2. The number of persons
who have officially enrolled for coverage;3. The number of persons
who have enrolled who previously were uninsured; and4. The
demographics of each category.Given the Internet-based system, such
numbers are already in the system and can be extracted withing about fifteen
seconds. We Americans are paying for this system; we deserve to
receive the information about how our money is being spent.
