"We have a closing window of opportunity," she said. "We do have choices. We need to act now."

Oh come on. This is America. And the absolute infestation of Right Wing Tea Party types in state, local, and federal government will NOT let the nation act now.

"Conservatives" continue to put their faith in such "Great Americans" as Rush Limbaugh who have decreed that man-caused global warming is a figment of Al Gore's imagination.

They are willing to stand by their beliefs to the bitter end and take the world down with them.

And, in States like Utah, "Conservatives" ALWAYS get their way.

What climate change? Nothing unprecedented is happening. The climate models all this hype is based on are demonstrably wrong.

Remember, climate is not measured in years or decades. It takes dozens of centuries of information to define what's normal in climate, and despite increasing CO2 we're still in the normal range. The IPCC and related U.N. members are out for power by using scare tactics.

I am trying to figure out how they figured that things were going to be worse than previously predicted? According to the NOAA, we don't have an accurate model. The NOAA said that if we had at least 15 years with no warming it would show that the models are wrong. Right now we are going on 16 years with no warming.

So, how can they predict that things will be worse if their model is broken?

What they also forget to mention is that thanks to a warmer Earth, we are able to feed hundreds of millions more people. But then again, that was NASA saying that.

We could also go into the fact that all of the proposed "fixes" will actually cause more harm than good.

Firstly thank you for the article.
Many years ago I watch a show on the Shroud of Turin, at the end of the investigation the narrator made the following statement. "For those that believe no more proof is required for those that don't believe not proof is enough"

So here we stand waiting for the same old combatants to get back into the trenches to pitch the same old same old.

Lets look at the statements the Temperature is rising, Yes. The Sea level is rising, Yes. The acidity of the sea is raising, Yes. I have read the in fifty years many of the world's seaside airports will be underwater at King tides. Greenland and Antarctica will thaw over the next 1,000 years at the current rate. Well I will be dead before the 50 years so not my problem you may say. However I hope I am a bridge builder and will do my best to leave the world the best I can. I encourage the attitude "If it is to be it is up to me"

Let's look at the facts: Is the sea level rising? Not according to satellite images. Is the acidity of the sea rising? Not according to water tests, anywhere. Is the amount of ice in Greenland and Antarctica decreasing? No, it increased this year. Is all this global warming nonsense just a ruse to implement a carbon tax? Of course it is!
