As the year goes on, I feel like there is a lot of parity in 2A boys basketball. Outside of Wasatch Academy, it looks to me like there are at least eight to ten more teams that could end up in the championship game. Who wants to put forth the effort to get there??

I agree Carver. It's a shame and WA doesn't care how this has all come about.

@Carver.Who wants to put forth effort to get there? This statement sums up the lame play by 2A boys basketball. And that's why your teams won't and can't win championship because they don't have it in them. It takes a winners attitude to win at that level not a loser mentality. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry tiger fan the issue is a team of 5 division 1 players specifically targeted for each of the 5 positions. Please don't insult the wisdom and integrity of these fine 2a teams and fans. All of us know the gig and it has disgusted all of us . The other private schools are being pr damaged by this as well.

@carver, 5 division 1 players is not the issue, the teams not being up to par should be the issue, work on your games, stay in the gym. That's what those 5 division 1 players do. Try it.

A wise man once said "there is none so blind as he who won't open his eyes to see". It is one thing to recruit students and some can play sports well; it is another thing to recruit specific players of division 1 talent and destroy small public and private schools who abide by both the letter and spirit of the Uhsaa By laws. Further to do so and be-little the victims is disgusting .

@2AFAN, Now they're victims. WOW. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely ! You tiger fans don't get it. You have orchestrated an all- world team and somehow feel real proud of yourselves destroying some of the smallest schools in the state. I guess it's enough to make the alum proud.

We're proud of our guys, because we know how hard they work. Not the destruction of anyone/anything or schools.

They don't have to work hard in 2a, they had a 47 point victory margin in 2a until south sevier held the ball the entire 4th quarter last night. Wa boys don't work any harder than the other 2a teams. Look, I like the wa kids, but effort is no more the issue than saying my little grandson could give me a better game if only he would try harder. He can't match my talent. Wa has gone way beyond the intent of the uhsaa rules and the results are very distasteful.

Right, they don't work hard in 2A, they work hard for the game. And as far as South Sevier holding the ball the entire 4th quarter. LAME. So the issue is WA has to much talent. CRAZY.

Meeting last Friday with all 2a members with South Summit and South Sevier pushing angrily for private schools to be pushed into own class which isn't going to happen for many reasons. But this is the results of the current situation. Incredible damage has been done.
