I was hoping that NBC could come up with a more controversial and informative style program to replace the Jay Leno Hollywood glamor hour than this wanna be no talent Jimmy Fallon. When you grew up with the best of Johnny Carson and his predecessors who took on the world and debated with intelligent and meaningful world class guest, it was hard to give the Leno/Fallon regime any credibility for being a program to stimulate intelligent community service.

It would be nice to have a more intelligent style program to stimulate the young into more intelligent and meaningful lives where more thought processes are needed. Its time to give the new generations something to do and think about other than entertainment as a way of life and having a productive sense of accomplishment.

NBC is taking a big risk to keep Hollywood fiction with the dozens of shows already on dozens of channels devoted to Hollywood glitz. They should convert back to more educational and thought provoking intelligent wit and humor of the world we live in. There is more to intelligent entertainment than Hollywood stars who don't challenge the mind or provoke thought in the audience.

I stopped watching years ago when I realized it just a big infomercial for the other wings of the entertainment conglomerate. It would be nice to see something thought provoking but no one in Hollywood would dare try something new and innovative because the bottom line would suffer in the short run. I just wonder when Leno will return to bail them out again?

Anybody but Letterman.

Johnny Carson had so much more class than Leno. I watched Carson from my early teens to mid-40s. Quit watching Leno because he was too crass and vulgar. I didn't appreciate his politics either but that was minor in comparison to the other.

Letterman isn't much better. Too bad. Late night TV talk shows USED to be entertaining.
