Great game, and congratulations to the winning team. Way to go, Seahawks!

I wanted to see the Seahawks win but . . . that interview with Sherman after the game was downright frightening.

Richard Sherman deserves respect. Granted his tirade after the game was over top, but anyone who can go from Compton to Stanford graduate to being drafted into the NFL and then start on the greatest defensive NFL team as a top rated CB deserves respect.

I don't care if you are one of the best corner's in the NFL. Chest thumping, trash talking, disrespectful garbage spewed by Sherman is a real turn-off. It does endear me to the Seahawks at all. I have always been taught to respect your opponent, keep your mouth shut and let your play do your talking. He boasted like he was the only player on that team. Contrast that to Manning's post game interview. 2 totally different classes of people in my opinion.

The supreme irony in Richard Sherman's ridiculous, contemptible explosion is he has a degree in Communications, from Stanford.

It's totally understandable that these guys have to get wound up psychologically to perform at the level they do, but Sherman has a history of becoming this excessively testosterone-laced braggart as his chip-on-the-shoulder persona comes out, on cue. Everyone in America now knows what Sherman's hot-buttons are, and he'll be provoked everywhere he goes, outside of Seattle.

I've never particularly cared for the Broncos or Peyton Manning, but I'm sure I'm joining millions and millions in turning into a Denver fan for the next couple of weeks, and if Seattle loses, will relish the treatment they get in return.

If Richard Sherman has some great plays and is instrumental in Seattle winning the Super Bowl, you can bet we're going to see a lot more unsportsmanlike behavior from little kids, teen age athletes, and probably even parents, all justified by the man with a degree from Stanford.

What was his name trash talking? Hmm, go watch your youtube fella and think again.

I wanted 49ers to win which they did played better than the Seahawks but QB K was throwing some bone headed three turn overs won't win it for them. Now I'll root for Broncos just to be nice to my next door neighbor.

To his credit, Sherman responded very articulately in a column last night in Sports Illustrated.

Interestingly, in his response, he indicated regret for the way SF linebacker Navorro Bowman was treated by Seattle fans - having food thrown at him - after having his knee torn up.

Maybe Sherman will make that next leap in logic and understand that his own behavior and words don't exactly *discourage* that kind of treatment, by fans.

You just made the play to win the game and send your team to the Superbowl. The opposing receiver has talked trash all game and you shut him down. Now they put a mic in front of you. What do you expect? The shear fact that he has a degree in communications was demonstrated by the fact that he was clear in his message, didn't use vulgar language and looked into the camera the whole time.

Say what you want and bad mouth him all you want, but he is the best cover corner in the game. Watch his interviews afterwards and he is very intelligent, funny and a great interview. All he did was laud and praise his teammates. I for one will continue to cheer for the Seahawks. I love Manning but I'm Washington born and bred through and through.! Go Seahawks!

It's really too bad Alex Smith wasn't the qb for the 49ers, kapernick lost that game for SF. Glad to see Utah State, Weber, and even Utah represented in this years Super Bowl.

"All he did was laud and praise his teammates. "

LOL. Ah, c'mon! No he didn't! The post game interview I saw was a tirade boasting of himself and disrespecting the Niners. He gave no credit to his teammates. It was like he was the whole team. I was embarrassed for him and Seahawk fans who rained insults and garbage at the injured Niner as he was being carried off the field.

In a span of 10 minutes Kaepernick gave away a chance at the Super Bowl for the franchise as well as the fans. Two interceptions as well as a fumble. He is known as the only 9'er starting QB to ever lose a Super Bowl game. His play Sunday kept him from becoming the only starting 9'er QB to lose two Super Bowl games.
