This means Christie is going to try to spin things his way and not be cooperative with the Legislature. So much for his offer to fully cooperate. Someone pointed out that when Nixon had his enemies list, the pain was inflicted on the enemy. In this case, the pain was inflicted on innocent citizens of NJ and anyone else who was caught up ikn the four day traffic jam. The Christie crowd followed the example of Nixon in doing stupid things when they had a huge lead in the polls, but Christie is worse. I can't believe someone upped the ante on Nixon.

Why is there so much reporting on this story? It's a local issue for New Jerseyians, right? There's no national interest in this story, right?

I mean, according to the liberals I've talked to and asked about the Gosnell trial last year, that was a local story and of no importance to the rest of us. Who wanted to hear about an abortionist that murdered live babies with the full approval of Democratic party members, right? So why is Christie's little traffic problem page 1 news day after day after day?

And I don't even like Christie!
Why don't we get daily news updates on any of Obama's scandals--like targeting his political enemies with the IRS. That affected people over the country. IT's a non scandal, liberals cry! But Christie is the worst!!!!

Could there be a more glaring example of liberal media bias than the daily drumbeat of Christie is worse than Nixon, while Obama gets a pass?

Just blame Bush! That's what the Demos do and look how well it works for them!

@ Vanceone, Christie is the leading candidate for the 2016 nomination. The event is more than a "little traffic problem." I'm guessing you could stand to review the issue more carefully. It is a big deal, unless Christie swears off running for President. And to say Obama has gotten a pass is a joke! He is pummeled over things over which he had nothing to do with. It's been unebelievable what the right wing has thrown at him. The fact that he stands is evidence there is nothing there, even if you fervently wish it.

Hmm:

* traffic scandal vs Benghazi
* traffic scandal vs weapons to Mexican cartels
* traffic scandal vs 17 trillion dollar debt
* traffic scandal vs Solydra
* traffic scandal vs hundreds of millions in benefits for presidential vacations/per year
* traffic scandal vs new health care scam & new taxes

Christie really made a mess of things.

That's right. Christie's people did make a mess, at least a local one. Now he's hiring people whose job it will be to agree with his version of things, which is that even though people all around him knew exactly what to do, he himself had no clue whatever.

Right. Because Barack isn't being protected by the media. Nixon was forced to resign because he covered up a burglary that he had nothing to do with. That coverup was the reason he was forced to quit. No one died. I don't think the burglary even produced any valuable data. Nixon was hounded from office and portrayed as the worst president ever.

Obama : sent guns to arm drug gangs. Sicced the IRS on his political opponents (The latest is the White House administration was neck deep in it--but Barry didn't know). Is rewriting laws that Congress passed with Obamacare! He's actually legislating! Benghazi, where we know that his administration lied about the video and he threw someone in jail falsely over it!

Any one of these things are far worse than Nixon, yet the Media does NOTHING unless the Republicans make a stink. Do you honestly contend that if GWB's IRS was caught targeting liberal groups that the media would let it drop?

@ Mark. Christie should borrow a page from Obama and say, "If you like your bridge, you can keep it, period"! Then later apologize and say he is sorry we didn't understand what he meant! That way even you would love Christie!

A parade is forming. I must get in front of it.
Typical politician behavior.

Nixon left office for one reason - he didn't have one third of the Senate to back him and everyone knew it. Vance must have been born either way after or long before Watergate to describe it the way he does.
