We dropped almost 7 million tons of bombs on Viet Nam, as well as defoliated their forests with Agent Orange. They had not attacked us.

So, a small nod to a little assistance is ... small compensation.

But what about the U.S. and its climate problems?: I took a state at random, Arkansas, and looked at impacts. Here is just one, from the NRDC:

    Arkansas's Changing Climate

Average temperatures are already increasing, along with the frequency of extreme heat, storms, and dry summers.

    1. In the future, with climate change, annual temperatures are projected to rise another 4.5-9.0°F (3-5°C) by the 2080s.

Residents can expect to see more public health risks from storms, flooding and waterborne illnesses, drought, extreme heat waves, and declining air quality.

2 Arkansas does not have a statewide plan to prepare for the health impacts of climate change.

While poverty increases in our country,--good to know our citizens money is helping to preserve poverty somewhere else.

How much of these millions Kerry is giving away, will actually reach the people it's to help?
