Do animals have dominion of the earth?

All Obama has to do is say, "If you like your eagles, you can keep them-period". Then afterwards apologize and say he's sorry we didn't understand what he meant.

    No, no, no!

It's wrong for oil wells to spill crud on the ground that kills animals that wander too close. It's wrong for mining companies to tear off mountain tops and fill valleys with their waste. And it's wrong for wind turbines to operate without seeking ways to prevent, or at least significantly reduce bird kills. Could some kind of lights be installed or other devices found to warn birds away? Research is needed.

But not death sentences for birds of any kind. We "rabid environmentalists" need to get busy and change this.

So......windmill companies can injure or kill just as many American bald eagles as they want without so much as a hiccup of repercussions?

Yep, this just further shows that Obama really does not care about the United States of America. American culture? Who cares! Go see "2016, Obama's America" and you'll see what I mean.

I'm all for using any and every kind of energy we can if it will make us LESS dependent on other countries energy.

But to just say "Hey, we don't care if you kill an unlimited numbers of birds/our national symbol" is beyond stupid.

    Spotted owl? Gotta save it!

American eagle? Just let them be killed!

That, my friends, is spelled "hypocrisy".

Funny how this misleading headline has brought the bald eagle protectors out of the woodwork. There hasn't been remotely this much concern over the plan to eradicate eagle habitat from Farmington Bay with a new freeway.

If most Utahns had their way, the world-class bird refuges in Utah would all be paved over for self-important commuters.

The Obama administration can't balance the budget, yet hold our children accountable for their math scores.

Now they want to balance life in our environment?

Obama preaches "wealth redistribution" while the income gap has dramatically widened during his administration, due in part to enormous subsidies to the big energy companies to develop SCAMS like ethanol and wind energy all at the expense of the taxpayer and consumer and to the detriment of the environment.
The hypocrisy of Obama and the Left has no bounds.
Sure, the Right has their shenanigans but the Left are in a different league altogether.

More picking of winners and losers. It is what Obama does.

Sorry eagles! Barry declares you a loser.

this is what I love about the DNEWS! You won't find a story like this in the NYT or WAPO or LATIMES?

Wow, this story represents a bad day for liberals and liberalism all around. Imagine how much all the environmental organizations and Robert Redford types would be crying if this had been President Romney doing this.

Environmentalist are hypocrites!! We need to kill Eagles to "save the planet"? Hypocrites. Hey Dnews, how about a follow up story from the Audubon society, The Wildlife Conservation Fund, and Robert Redford and get their reaction.

This has solidified for me the gross hypocrisy of Obama and the environmental movement. To say this isn't about killing eagles but it is about conservation is ridiculous.

Then turn off those windmills for goodness sake. Leave those birds alone!

Maybe the Eagle isn't as revered as we once thought.

Now, the Sage grouse, for instance, IS worth protecting. No development anywhere near a nest or mating grounds is allowed.

But the Eagle, apparently, is now considered expendable.

There is a strange silence in the land on this proposal.

It's amazing how you can destroy the environment in order to protect the environment....oh wait a minute, you don't hear reports of oil wells killing eagles and flocks of birds.

The real story is, whoever is paying the politician the most get's to destroy a certain part of the environment.
