I wonder if harry reid and the party of no-controlled senate will even vote on it - they ignore everything else coming from the house.

Let's keep in mind that the original ban on this type of weapon was passed BEFORE it had even existed - during the Reagan administration.

Of course they will vote on it.
The Democrats today, are the Regan Republicans of yesterday.

As Mark B already mentioned.
This was a Reagan rule.
Today's conservatives would label Reagan a RINO, and publically flog and stone him.

@ lost: The Senate is on vaca until Monday, but they are scheduled to vote on it once they are back in session - and it is expected to pass quite easily.
