God is elevating them to this honor.

How does a group of the quorum of 12 elevate a man to the president of the church, a position higher than them?

Lately, most of my comments have been rejected without explanation. I've read many comments by others that I thought would merit rejection but they weren't. So I'm sending this one knowing full well that it probably won't pass muster either but I'm going to submit it anyway. Honestly, I'm not trying to criticize or demean the Catholic Church or anything. I just want to know how a pope can elevate someone to an honor higher than himself. I'm assuming that the position of pope is lower than that of a saint, is it not? And if not, how then can that be? It just doesn't make sense. I apologize ahead if this sounds offensive to anyone!
