the new standard bearer of liberalism.......just add to list with clinton, weiner, kennedy, kennedy, kennedy, macgreevy, spitzer, condit, howe, frank, hart etc.......... the difference with libs and repubs, libs usually get rewarded for bad behavior repubs don't.

You guys really don't understand the difference between sexual harassment and consensual relationships? Really?

You can try to make this about liberals and a double standard all you want - but you are the ones who come across as out of touch and having a double standard.

it is about a double standard......i do understand and libs don't.

A group of women with women attorneys...
He has no chance.
He's done. Won't be much longer til he's gone.
BTW, Filner also stole San Diego city funds.

Kalindra. Juanita Broaddrick, Jennifer Flowers, Eileen Wellstone, Carolyn Moffet, Elizabeth Ward and many others accused Slick Willy of rape and sexual harassment but liberals didn't care one bit! Why should they now?

Perhaps someone will introduce Mr. Filner to Herman Cain.
Surely Herman can help the victimized San Diego Mayor wriggle out of this!
LOL!

@ Mountanman: Broaddrick gave a sworn statement denying harassment by Clinton. Flowers was consensual.

And none of the women you mention, pressed criminal charges against Clinton.

Should they have? Probably. Would that have changed the way things are? I hope so.

But to try to compare this case will all its charges with politicians who had no charges filed against them makes you look bad and makes it look like you think this guys behavior is okay because other people got away with it in the past. Poor behavior in the past does not excuse poor behavior in the present.

As for the poor picked on conservative angle - this guy is a Democrat.

Filner seems like a truly wretched person, whatever his affiliation. Worse than Bob Packwood, who had about 20 women accusers? I'd say they're about the same. Filner should leave office.

Watched the beginning of the trailer. Stopped early before I knew anything would come up. Regardless of the content, the message was heartbreaking. When society considers this the norm I don't know what to expect.

@ute alumni
Could've sworn Sanford won a house seat, Vitter won re-election to Louisiana senate, and McCain was a presidential nominee.

@Kalindra:

You're joking. Right? Eighty percent of crimes are committed by liberals--Washington Post

Starting with Ted Kennedy to present. Most sexual wrong doing has been democrat liberals.

We all know libs are the most evil, just admit it.

Now go take a political affiliation poll of our honorable military leaders involved in sexual assault and harrassment. That should wrap this up.

What a class act... Poor San Diego.
