A nicely written letter. We need to recognise that parents and families come in all types and combinations, that the choice not to have children should be admired, and that children sometimes arise not from private and sacred decisions but also from drunken and mistaken and all kinds of other situations. We can help by being less judgmental of others by trying to compare them to what we expect of a 'family', be more open and honest about sex, and be supportive of all who are trying to raise kids.

All of us can think of families with a mother and father where we think " Thank God I didn't get them as parents!" I am so sick of people going on about one mommy and one daddy! Do they know what reality is! Let me tell you, I know some gay couples that I would gladly choose as parents! People are so arrogant!
