After facing a Congress whose republican side has made it clear that blocking him is more important to them than a jobs bill, etc, and the welfare of the American public, Mr Obama deserves a good laugh, before heading back to work.
Before anyone criticizes him (and he is not perfect) -- just imagine what must be like trying to fix the mess of our economy, but see Congress make 40 attempts to undo your most important and necessary legislation.
People who write under a fog of amnesia concerning the housing bubble, the economic collapse, and the ruinously expensive wars that were set in place in the previous administration are not helping America.
Mr Obama happens to be the person who has most challenged the mindset that "1950s White Male America" is a wonderful thing that should live on. Readers might note that the Republicans had a good chance to beat him, but lacked a candidate who could win, so it would help the country to stop resenting his election.

last day until when? Tuesday? Love the libs defend a guy that has accomplished nothing positive in almost 5 years. takers want everyone to go along with the community organizer or else they are "blocking" him. pathetic........

Ute is driven by hatred. Like it or not, despite being fought every step of the way by the Republicans even when the President agrees with them, he has accomplished a lot starting with the enormous mess that the GOP itself created.

There are two parties, two sets of opinions and values (thank god). What is hilarious is that when the libs are arguing their point of view and blocking any ideas from the Repubs it is democracy at work When the repubs are doing the same it is holding up progress. According to the libs the libs are the only ones who cooperate. Yea like Harry Reid. Oh and Bob the Civil Rights bill that Johnson pushed through was done with the support of the Repubs not the Dems. White male America???? What about Rodeo clowns being punished for humor and accused of hate crimes. Who is pushing that? How are things in Liberal Oregon? Glad your there.

@ute alumni --

"last day until when? Tuesday?"

From the politics365 website:

"Calls to several Presidential libraries reveal that President Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, was on vacation more — 1,020 days — than any U.S. President since Herbert Hoover and possibly more than any other President in history." and "Bush took the longest single vacation — 5 weeks — of any President in 36 years. President Bush spent 32% of his presidency on vacation."

"President Obama has been on vacation 78 days from 2009 to 2011. At the three year mark into their first terms, George W. Bush spent 180 days at his ranch in Crawford, Texas and Ronald Reagan spent 112 vacation days at his ranch in California. " and

"President Obama was on vacation less in his first year in office than the previous three Republican Presidents."

Yep obama is over worked. Golfing, Basketball, Fund raising. Oh and playing spades while the Seals were doing the job which he eventually took credit for. Lets see Osama is dead and GM is alive. Obama has been on vacation everyday he has been President.

Taxpayers have just paid for likely the most expensive rounds of golf ever!! Another deluxe vacation with tax-payers paying the total tab.

To bad other people can't afford such vacations.

Just not fair. The haves, and have-nots.

Is this greed, and arrogance, or a person being better than everybody else?

Watch out, worf. You're beginning to sound like a socialist. ;-)

I guess he is looking at becoming a non-official comedian after he has made our nation a laughing stock around the world. He has shared secrets with leaders and set examples for our nation's citizens, military and government workers how to be a joke while they are sequestered and have their benefits eroded and jobs lost to other nations. Those nations are laughing all the way to the bank.

This President will have a legacy of missing important and critical events while watching television to get his speech monitoring techniques down for MC for the David Letterman, Jay Leno and other late night shows.

He has an aptitude for changing history of our forefathers and founding father's goals through the application of his definition of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Our nation will not be able to forget the battles off the battlefield of life due to ACA, Benghazi, Egypt and Mrs. First Lady saying she is finally happy about being in the United States of America.

As the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg and having been there in July, it is a reminder of our citizen's on both sides fighting for their beliefs

Where are all those who complained of the rich, and greedy not paying their fair share? Is Obama paying taxes on the millions of tax payer money used for vacations.

Did Bush? You know -- the guy who spent more than 30% of his entire presidency on vacation??

Larry David huh? Remember Seinfeld? Maybe Jerry and Larry are going to renew the old show and Obama will be the new Kramer.

I never begrudge any president his vacations. It is the toughest job on the planet and no vacation is a true vacation (with no staff members nearby to help you keep up with work).

Be it Obama, Bush, anyone. It just doesn't matter. They have the biggest job in the world. Let them relax. They will make better decisions and that will benefit us all.

BTW, just remember they called Eisenhower the "duffer in chief".

Let it go.
