Good. It's about time an article in support of marriage turned up in this paper.

Why would anyone want to live in California?

@ute alum

Right because Utah is so overflowing with pleasant and kind people, I mean just read all the love in these threads.

Re: "Why would anyone want to live in California?"

Why wouldn't they? One out of eight Americans lives there, and I imagine that they're not all staying against their will.

And by the way, there are plenty of people who wonder why anyone would want to live in Utah.

But the question for me isn't why anybody would want to live in California or Utah, but why somebody who happens to live in Utah should have fewer rights than somebody who happens to live in California.

alum could ask his question to Mitt, who has already sunk about a zillion dollars into California livin'.

Mark B--Why Mitt? Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, all have more money than Mitt.

The liberal press sure has an influence on you.

"Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, all have more money than Mitt."

Guess again.

Romney's own campaign admitted that he was worth $250 million.

Pelosi -- net worth $35.5 million
Reid -- net worth $1-1.5 million
Gore -- net worth $300 million
Clinton -- net worth $80 million
Obama -- net worth $12 million

(numbers from celebritynetworth website, National Review, and Washington Post)

Only Gore is anywhere close to Mitt.

Try for more facts, worf. Less Faux News.

@ worf: Why Mitt? Well, because the conversation went like this:

ute alumni: "Why would anyone want to live in California?"
Mark B: "alum could ask his question to Mitt, who has already sunk about a zillion dollars into California livin'."

Pelosi has lived in California since 1969, when she moved there with her husband. She is probably a little biased on why someone should live in California.
Reid lives in Arizona.
Bill Clinton lives in New York.
Gore visits California, but he lives in Tennessee and Virginia.
Obama lives in Washington, DC right now - and will probably live in Illinois or Hawaii when he is no longer President.

Mitt, on the other hand, lives in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and California - where he is doing renovations to his home so his kids and grandkids can stay at the house when they visit him there. Since he has recently chosen to live and invest in California, he is the most likely person on the list to ask, "Why do you want to live in California?"

ute asked a question, Mark told him the best place to go for an answer. I hope this solves your confusion.

"Why would anyone want to live in California?"

Why are Californians moving to Texas, Colorado, and Utah?--Spread their liberal failures, and philosophies?

@Contrarius:

Check your facts. Romney can't afford the vacations Obama takes, and Nancy combined with her husband exceeds anything Romney has.--Romney has 150 million.

At these figures, it doesn't really matter, but Romney isn't as greedy or costly to tax payers.

Kalindra--Reid lives in Nevada.

Sorry, worf, but I'm going to believe Romney's own campaign over you.

But even if it were 150 instead of 250, that's still a heckuva lot MORE than anyone else on your list aside from Gore.

@ worf: Arizona, Nevada - whatever. Still makes my point that your suggestion to ask him why to live in California is a ridiculous off-topic attack.
