Austin was a crowton recruit I believe is that right?

Does anyone know the last byu player drafted who was a Bronco recruit?

Drafted. Bronco recruit.

Anyone?

I wonder if he even had another catch his entire career?

One good hit in practice with one more head injury and teams won't touch him

Some people are just too fragile for the nfl. Not his fault. Just the truth.

It's been a long time, but I guess I'm a 49ers fan again!

Son, do the rest of your life a favor and quit, before the damage is irreparable.

How many U recievers have caught a pass in the superbowl? What about a touchdown in the Super Bowl? Both collie and pitta have been to the SB...how bout you Chrissy?

As a huge 49er fan and a huge Collie fan, I am excited to see him light it up again. I'm sure he'll become a favorite target of Kaepernick, just like he was for Manning.

But if I were a friend or family member of Collie, I too would encourage him to hang up the cleats. There is more to life than football.

Well when you're doing the right things off the field then good things are bound to happen on it!!

Collie will be wearing a Super Bowl ring by next February.

@Pavalova

Kevin Dyson and Steve Smith are a couple of Ute receivers that have caught passes in a super bowl and Mr. Smith also caught a TD in that game.

So Chris, how many NFL quality players does it take to earn a trip to the couch potato bowl? Do you have enough this year?

My apologies to the rest of the classy posters - red, blue or whatever. Wishing him the best, and to one degree or another, wondering if this is the best decision.

Can't cheer for any sports team from that horrible city, but will be glad to hear when Collie gets some TDs.

Why he's taking such a risk is hard to understand.

How many NFL players does byu need to beat Utah?

Congratulations to Collie on the opportunity to continue his career.

He knows the danger that lurks every time the ball comes his way.

He has made an informed decision based upon input from family/medical personal etc..

I hope he has a successful year.

Chris B,
Why so frantic and emotional about an BYU alum getting a chance to play for a great team and organization as the 49ers?

Congrats A.C.

Chris B. or Scott Issacson or whatever your name is these days:

Who cares about Bronco or BYU or Utah. This is the 49ers son, a legit Super Bowl contender. Not some cellar dewller like the Utes. Good for Collie for finding a job. I hope he stays healthy and has a superb season.

Good job Austin...finally in your whole football career you are with a winning team.

Sincerely,

RE: Chris B
Does anyone know the bowl game Whittingham got his BCS team in to last year? In a conference that virtually assures a bowl to almost any team with a pulse?

Does anyone know which bowl all the reputable sports agencies predict Whittingham will get his BCS team in to this year? In a conference that virtually assures a bowl to almost any team with a pulse?

Anyone?
