Pass ACA and then read that it impacts on the ones who passed it is a great
story. These bright people from California, Illinois, and other similar states
should feel real proud of their accomplishments from the push of the President
of the United States of America. It doesn't seem as if a real patriot
would have done this type of action in the country of the born free people who
read and understand the basic principles of freedom. The founding
fathers knew a person born in this country would have more of a buy in for the
Constitutional principles and philosophies of 235 years of blood, sweat and
Sorry, but Social Security was NEVER meant to be a Retirement plan. Unless
Obama agrees to some modest course corrections in the payouts, it will collapse
of its own weight as more Boomers retire, and as our birth rate, like other
industrialized nations, continues to plummet (even in Utah!). Yea,
abolish everything. Sounds like a recipie for Anarchy. Be realistic. If you
sustain the Constitution, then you agree to the provisions that it established,
namely Executive Branch, Judicial Branch, and Legislative Branch. You may not
agree with how they conduct themselves, but you have to work within the
framework it established and the rule of law.Grab a Pitchfork,
Mabel, is not a plan.
The Constitution of The United States of America is the supreme law of the land.
To many of our elected officials, and those that they have appointed,
illegally pass laws that are Unconstitutional, and are approved by The Supreme
Court. As American Patriots, we need to Recall Congress, Impeach The Supreme
Court, and charge Obama and Clinton, with Treason. We also need to Abolish the
I. R. S. and the Federal Reserve Bank, and repeal the Patriot Act. We also need
Term Limits, and to require all Congress members, and government employees to
be on Social Security, with the same retirements that Tax Payers have. Oath Keeper since 15 Feb 1965.
You people didn't read the article well. Congress is still subject to
Obamacare. They have to purchase a plan from one of the "exchanges"
that are set up under the law. THey have no other option for health care and
still have to pay their share for their policies with after-tax dollars with no
tax benefit. For decades, the federal government has paid the
employer share of health care benefits to them and their staff, just like to any
other federal employee. Last week's OPM ruling simply indicated that this
would continue under Obamacare for them, but not with their traditional plans.
So its really not that great of news for them as some of you make it out to
be.So, OK, everybody hates Congress and they're easy to pick
on. But is it fair to penalize their staff and their families when every other
federal employee out there gets a federal health plan? Be fair. Obama care is
a disaster for EVERYONE, and hopefully with Congress and staff having to
purchase a plan under the exchanges, members of both parties will see first-hand
in their own situtations that it needs to be repealed.
So the people who participated in forcing the American citizens to accept this
Obama health plan are now not going to be required to accept it themselves.Well isn't that special.
May our Obama voters get what they voted for.
@DN Subscriber 2:"Just one more bit of proof that Obamacare is
worthless garbage and empty promises."Didn't they tell you
up front, if you liked the insurance you have you can keep it?"No law which applies to citizens of the U.S. should exempt members of
Congress or their staffs."It's the 'golden rule.'
Dem dat makes da rules get da gold.
I pay 30 percent of my premium now. I would hope that you tax payers will reduce
my percentage to just 25 percent. But I'm one of those tax payers. So that
doesn't really help me at all. My taxes are going up anyway. Congress
should have all their retirement converted over to Social Security along with
their medical insurance, etc.
We should't expect our Fed employees to be in the same class as the
Are you kidding? So those of us who are barely above poverty, who don't
qualify for Medicaid, who work full or part-time and need ("required")
to have insurance will have to contribute to the premiums for the lawmakers who
created this mess? And this was done by "the best and the brightest?"
Sounds like they need to rein in their own spending and contribute to their own
insurance, just like the rest of us have to. What is good for the general public
should also be good for those who passed this stupid law!
So politicians believe that they and their staff are the best and the brightest?
That says a lot, doesn't it?I just wish I could
see the evidence of Pelosi's statement.
Just one more bit of proof that Obamacare is worthless garbage and empty
promises. If it's not good enough for Congress and their staff
then it darn sure should not be something MANDATED for everyone who pays their
salaries. No law which applies to citizens of the U.S. should exempt
members of Congress or their staffs. Every member who voted for this patently
unfair elitist "holier than thou" special treatment should be voted out
of office, recalled or hounded to resign. Some animals truly are
"more equal than others!"
What a gobbledeegook Report from the APWhat it really means? That the aids who work in Washington say they cannot afford
Obamacare.....Keep in mind, these people make $70 thousand a year! And some make
over $200 thousand a year....but they cannot afford Obamacare and asked Obama
for a Carveout! Meaning they will get a pay increase to help them afford
healthcare.......a 70% increase to their benefits package! If they
cannot afford it, then what makes Obama think anyone else can....what a crooked
If this causes the best and brightest to flee Washington it might create some
vacancies for the honest to fill.
So the very people who wrote the laws are exempted from this bill. How nice is
it to make the rules for us serf and then exempt themselves from these laws
that are going to be so wonderful for all us suckers.
