This is an area where I would call myself pro choice. I think an adult person of sound mind and body should be able to establish ahead of time the conditions under which they would like to end their life due to medical conditions. I've had family members tell me that they don't want to suffer the last days, months, or even years, with no hope. This probably puts me at odds with my church. However, many people are kept alive when in reality, without modern day medicine, they would have passed away. People say only God can determine when to take a life, but where does God fit into the difference between what medicine couldn't have done in the past and what it can do today to maintain life.

How's this different from abortions?
