I never see any comments on articles about the Pope. I understand that he does
not represent most readers' faith, but in a world with all of the problems
we face, to me its wonderful to see three million people - mostly the youth -
turn out in person for World Youth Day. For all of the negative things you hear
about young people, this event with the Pope goes to show if you give the youth
a meaningful message, if you believe in them, if you call them to give their
lives to God, they absolutely will respond. My hope is that all
churches would send a meaningful, honest message of hope and faith to the youth.
The Pope's message has resonated and is an example to others to follow.
Go to the poor, speak to the poor, speak to the young. All leaders can learn
something from this event.
