Another great article Dr. Krauthammer! Should be mandatory reading in Congress, the SCOTUS in every High School and every college economics class in the nation. Since Obama and the Democrats are running our nation exactly like the Democrats ran Detroit, is it too late for our entire country to avoid the same fate? I doubt even Mitt Romney could save our country now, its too late! Hunker down America, the consequences of your "sin" are coming due and payable.$17 trillion in debt and growing by $1.5 billion each day will not be ignored forever! Obamacare anyone?

Nothing expresses your Patriotism more than playing partisan politics and relishing in the destruction of Detroit. Nothing says, "I Love America" more than your wishing of similar fates to all American cities and principalities.

Unbelievable.

BTW, when has Chuck been right? About anything? His record is pathetic.

That's a photo of Pittsburgh not Detroit.

Anyone wondered if Mitt Romney had been President, would he have ridden his wife's famous horse into Detroit and saved the day?
After all, it is Mitt's hometown and he has enough money to take care of business.

Real Maverick. News flash for you! Patriots did not destroy Detroit, Democrats did.

"Real Maverick. News flash for you! Patriots did not destroy Detroit, Democrats did."

I know your pathetic record. From claiming that Obama was born in Kenya to trickle-down economics. You have no credibility whatsoever. While I appreciate your factless opinions I do find them humorous for all the wrong reasons.

News flash: Corrupt politicians and short sited "job creators" destroyed Detroit. Sacrificing your workers (who are the real job creators) for short-term profits is a recipe for long-term disaster. We see this now in Detroit.

Had politicians diversified the economy in Detroit and CEOs built a good quality product (while maintaining liveable wages for their workers) Detroit would not be in the quagmire it currently finds itself in.

"The time of Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, the rest of insolvent social-democratic Europe — and now Detroit — is the time for conservatives to raise the banner of Stein's Law and yell "Stop." Reality check: the collapse of these economies was occasioned by the mass sale of mortgage backed securities (by U S banks) and the subsequent collapse of their imputed values. I would ask Krauthammer to present the whole picture.

You miss the fact that no one has the money to fund the corruption, not at little Detroit levels, and certainly not at Federal Government levels. No one, not even Warren Buffet and his secretary.

Nurses say Stein's Law this way:

"All bleeding eventually stops."

I just wonder if we are going to apply pressure, or if we just wait until all the blood runs out.

You are wrong again. I never claimed Obama was born in Kenya. So much for your accusations.
