Sounds like they didn't want to subject themselves to the racially-charged
death threats, etc. that anyone who has appeared to remotely side with George
Zimmerman has been subjected to (i.e. the local police department, his parents,
attorneys, etc.).Is is cowardly? Perhaps...but I am sure that
privately they thanked Zimmerman, and I can see why they'd be hesitant to
insert themselves into such a hateful, volatile situation.
atl134If so, they're not making much headway are they? Maybe a
change in direction would be in order for those folk. And I'm assuming you
are not lying about liberal media. However, if what you say is true, then why
do those same liberal types clam up and accuse the convervatives of not caring
or not listening when they come on shows on FOX? How helpful is that? Instead
of engaging, they run away and make accusations from the sidelines. I
don't believe they really have any answers either, but just don't want
that truth exposed on a major news program like O'Reilly.
If someone saved my life, would I "hide" when I had an opportunity to
publically thank him? I hope not! I hope that I have an "attitude of
gratitude" that would compel me to be grateful to that person - even if the
entire nation thought otherwise.
Re Alt134Tell that to the family of the soccer coach who died with
just one punch to the head.
@atl134 - that's not nearly as absurd a definition of "armed" as
claiming Trayvon Martin was armed only with Skittles and iced tea, and I suspect
you bought that one. Anyone who thinks fists are not weapons, and that a
concrete sidewalk can't be used as a weapon to kill another, is
intellectually dishonest. Anyone who counters that no other weapons in the
world are necessary if fists and concrete sidewalks can be used as weapons
simply can't be debated using logic.@no fit - repeated good
deeds dramatically contradicts the narrative racial hucksters like Jackson,
Sharpton, and even Holder and Obama, would have you believe about George
Zimmerman in order to perpetuate racial division in this country that benefits
only them individually and their political team.
@The Sensible Middle"He was armed with his two fists and a
concrete sidewalk which he used to bash Zimmermans head."An
absurd definition of "armed". Hey does that mean none of you need guns
anymore? As long as you walk on the sidewalk you'll already have a weapon,
Re no fit in sgHaven't you heard about the soccer coach in West
Valley a few weeks ago who was put into a comma and then died by one punch to
the head thrown by one of the players?Travon Martin was armed the
night he died. He was armed with his two fists and a concrete sidewalk which he
used to bash Zimmermans head. Travon died because Travon chose to viciously
attack another person without stopping. His death is his own fault.
@SCfan" I'm thinking that the thing that should be making black
men accross America feel disenfranchised is that their own leaders don't do
anything to help out with black on black crime"Just because you
don't pay attention to something doesn't mean it's not occurring.
As someone who watches those "liberal" media shows/sites I've seen
all sorts of news show segments about inner-city crime and victims of it like
Hadiya Pendleton, the gun violence in cities like Pittsburgh and Chicago.
Progress in places like Newark. There were protests against Rahm Emanuel's
actions on the matter and against New York City's stop and frisk policy
that disproportionately targets minorities. Most of these segments have black
guests on and the protests are led by black community leaders. Conservatives
don't live in inner-cities generally, maybe that's why they don't
pay much attention to it and thus why you don't hear about it.
Wouldn't it take a lifetime of good deeds to make up for a killing of an
unarmed 17 year old teenager?
Ok TMR, I'm thinking. I'm thinking that if I were this couple,
I'd have reservations about coming out and giving positives about the man
who the liberal left and blacks in this country wanted us all to hate. I'm
thinking that the thing that should be making black men accross America feel
disenfranchised is that their own leaders don't do anything to help out
with black on black crime, and hopeless neighborhoods. I'm thinking that
many in the black community probably thought that when a black man became
President, they would no longer need to feel disenfranchised and ignored
anymore. Yeah, I'm thinking a lot about those things. I wonder why people
like President Obama, Eric Holder, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Chris Matthews,
Bill Maher, ect are not thinking about those things.
These comments are hilarious. The fact that the couple declined a news
conference at the office of the lawyers who represented Zimmerman has more to do
with their using common sense (perhaps they recognized the opportunistic
circus-like atmosphere) than it does with the decline of America or the liberal
agenda. The situation at hand is serious: at the end of the day a teenager was
shot dead and black men across America feel disenfranchised. However, to turn
these issues on their head by conflating the decision by this couple not to be
part of the propaganda to a sign of societal decline is funny at best. At
worst, perhaps the conflation itself is a sign that America is in decline! Good
heavens people, think!
fowersjl hit the nail on the head. The liberals will ignore whatever facts they
need to in order to further their propaganda and liberal agenda. And that
liberal agenda is a very venomous thing for this great country.
George Zimmerman is a person who wants to do the right thing but got caught up
in a bad situation.
It won't matter if George Zimmerman rescues a boatload of African Americans
from drowning. That doesn't fit into the narrative that prompts rioting
and racial divide fomented by the race activists. Sad country we live in as it
continues its decline.
