can't wait to hear this years teleprompter speech. Dust off last years dumb rah rah speech...throw in a few new blame the GOP lines and there you have it folks...the 2013 plan for recovery. Keep your barf bag near by if you plan to listen to any of this tired old re-run. Like watching ground hog day for the 5th time in a row. Honestly...not even his most faithful democrats actually believe anything this guy puts out there anymore. After 5 years of failure you finally just switch off the TV and go take the dog for a walk instead. But hey - he's a cool cat and all the late night shows still love the guy so isn't that good enough??

Most here do not understand that capitalism is an evolving system. The international corporation allows capital to whipsaw labor at will. So while Obama does need to attempt more measures they will not be accepted with this backdrop, that is, the public does not understand capitalism's ongoing evolution. At some point, economics must let Marx in.

@ute alumni--we should have let Detroit go bankrupt, than start over.

Time we take away crutches, and provide responsibility.

If Obama had a "city", it would look like "Detroit".

always in campaign mode. it will be refreshing to hopefully have a president in 31/2 years that will actually do something instead of just talking about it.

The recovery is anemic because of economic factors far outside the President's control.

If you happen to think Obamacare is hampering job growth, a simple question: what would the new employees do, that isn't already being done to satisfy existing customers? Would more customers appear, with less regulation? Six Flags isn't finding a lot of new customers.

So, Obama's out spreading the word on his economic program again. (Relax, he won't be coming to Utah.)

What is Mike Lee's response? He's going to shut down the government, unless he gets his way and Obamacare is essentially destroyed, even though it already passed Congress, even though the Supreme Court upheld its legality.

Compare & contrast the two styles. Most Utahns are probably proud of Mike Lee for doing whatever it takes to take down Obama. But, what do you think this is going to do for the Republican Party nationally, the party that is facing big image problems with growing electoral demographics?

Maybe it's more important to make a stand than actually govern the country. Kind of like "Remember the Alamo!". In the future, Utahns and Republicans can say "Remember Mike Lee!".

President Obama: "When Gov. Romney said we should just let Detroit go bankrupt, we said thanks but no thanks."

After four and a half years, we're still hearing speeches of his vision. Trillions of dollars spent, and a worsen economy. Still blaming Bush?

I'm sure Detroit had similar speeches before it went bankrupt.

Obama talks about the economy. That's a good one.
Let's hope the speech was written by Mitt Romney.

And once again Obama does the only thing he understands, he hits the campaign trail. I certainly do wish that he knew how to govern as well. Just proves that although all of us want to be the boss, most are not capable.
