    I don't disagree with what you posted. I include the mormons in that as well. I am aware some churches don't have paid clergy, but the ones that do are a scam in my view. Pay me for salvation is the message I get. I like to refer to them as snake oil salesmen.

    @ Brahmabull: Actually, preaching for money predates modern America by thousands of years - it also happens to predate Christianity and Judaism.

    Very few religions have unpaid religious leaders - even the Mormon church has paid leaders if you go far enough up the ladder.

    Right. Some do collect money to help those in need, which is good. Preaching for money - now that is the biggest scam in american history.

    @ Brahmabull: Most churches collect some kind of offering from their believers - how is this one different other than the fact that it is not yours?

    These kinds of churches are a joke. People actually pay money to these guys, and the preachers can make alot of money spewing garbage every sunday. Us americans are very gullible.
