My heart goes out to the families, friends and co workers of these firefighters.

their lives on the line are greatly appreciated.
I was once a hot shot fire fighter in Southern California. The lingering tragedy
is that the benefits that are so generously given to our county firefighters,
(who's risks are much less, than hotshots), are not even close to what the
extremely valiant hotshot's families receive.
This breaks my heart.
A sad day for all of us as people willing to do so much for so many lose their
lives. Thoughts and prayers go to the families of these brave fire fighters.

This is a tragedy and my heart goes out to their families.
What courageous and self-sacrificing these men had to be. They knew the risks
yet took them anyway. Prayers and good wishes to their families. We should
remember all who serve our country in harms way: police fire, military, etc.
