Gee, I don't know...

Should we stop funding something Republicans started back with Ronald Reagan,
continued with GHW Bush,
Clinton scaled back but never the less continued,
and GW Bush increased to statospheric new heights?

Regardless of your opinion it should be made clear that weapons production is a drain on the economy. It does not help our bottom line. Obviously we need our military, but it takes money out of the private sector unless some foreign country is buying the weapons from us.

I'm not sure how this fits with the 'religion is under attack all over the world' mantra currently popping up on these pages.

So we support the muslim brotherhood with weapons/planes and I understand we are sending riot police to control what? The muslim brotherhood? The citizens protesting? Have they been told to shoot? Who are they shooting at?
This is our tax money, or more correctly, this is the money we are borrowing from the Chinese. Did we help the students protesting in Iran against a terrible regime? NO! The students thought we were with them, apparently not!
We need to let Eggpt take care of this. Even if morsi is one of 0bama's friends.
I noticed in one of the pictures the police are in tanks, but are not fighting the protesters.

Reagan countries just like the funding for Reagan phones needs to end.

We don't have enough money for firefighters and teachers yet we do have enough money for Reagan countries? Unbelievable!

Maybe the two factions of Islam will destroy each other. They certainly do not need our help? Do they buil anything or produce anything? What do they do with the money? The teachings of the Koran will never allow them to be brothers with us or each other. What a sad commentary on a once great culture.

This has always been a tough decision for US Politicians (despite all the coolaid drinking partisan rhetoric-mongers who like to pretend it's just a Republican problem).

Fact is... it's not just Republican problem. It's not even a recent problem (we've had it all my lifetime). And it doesn't only apply to Muslim Nations. We have been faced with this decision many times in our history.

You have to weigh the moral dilemma of funding a country lead by people hostile to the USA (we had the same decision in North Korea, Cuba, Laos, some South American countries throughout my lifetime). We usually end up continuing funding for humanitarian reasons and in order to keep at least SOME influence there.

But just keep play politics with it... if that's all you can do.

It's tragic and comical how liberals keep avoiding responsibility for being in power and blame everything on Reagan and Bush. There's little wonder why the country is in chaos.

We don't have enough money for ourselves why are funding anybody else especially the Muslim Brotherhood? Let's pay down our debt let's keep the promise of Social Security.

This should be basic common sense do our political leaders have any?
