Until you get India, Russia, and especially China to sign-up to reducing their CO2 emissions, then anything we do to decrease our emissions here in the U.S.A. will be the equivalent of "spitting into the wind."

There is clearly a backlash against the global warming hoax, particularly from nations that have discovered the costs to their economies that idiotic “renewable” energy schemes and emissions reductions incur. In the real world, they are experiencing longer, harsher winters as the result of the cooling cycle the Earth has been in for the last seventeen years. Its a hoax people! The climate is constantly changing and now we are in a cooling cycle. Stop wasting our time and money on this Obama! Its foolish, wrong headed leadership and destructive!

Do people have any idea how much energy(COAL) to took to build our country to the point where the great majority have access to proper nutrition, homes, schooling, health care, entertainment, infrastructure.....?

Pretty pathetic that liberals now wish to forbid developing countries who want to enjoy the same benefits we enjoy.

Asian countries WANT our coal. And some people have the gall to suggest these "poor developing countries" start building wind farms to try and develop their countries to the point they can enjoy the same luxuries we enjoy in the United States?

And I thought liberals looked out for the poor.

Gotta love the solution from the right, there is no problem, we need to keep up with 3rd world countries in our polluting or America won't be #1 any more.

Selfish greed is not a good party platform, but then again your parties idea of playing ostrich when it comes to the environment in general, is only good for the corp/people.

Counting on the second coming is not a plan.

And the emperor has spoken, it will happen the way he commands. Nope no more representation in Washington on his watch.

"Look, SQUIRREL!"

This is an appalling sop to the environmental fringe of the Democrat party, to mollify them and keep them on board for the next election.

In reality, it will devastate the economy of coal producing states, cut available generating capacity (on top of the cuts already sacrificed on the altar of the environmental cult) and energy prices will continue to climb. I just hope all the Californians remember why their rates will be unaffordable, if they can even get electricity.

And, this at a time when global warming has halted (already!) and climate science is most certainly NOT "settled."

Just one more Obama step to destroy our country, and our economic base.

Meanwhile, federal spending continues to climb, our debt is unpayable, our defense is crumbling, the economy a shambles, healthcare reform a fiasco, and corruption runs ramopnt in the DOJ, IRS and NSA.

In another report of this, Obama was quoted as calling "non-believer's" in global warming "flat earthers" and other names. How divisive and derisive of a POTUS to say such things. He can't resort to actual facts to make his point so he incites division, encouraging the gullible, such as Happy Valley Heretic, to pass on the bullying and derision.

Global warming is a known hoax. It has no basis in fact. The only purpose is to instill a pagan, earth-worshiping public policy and to bring about the decline of American production and standard of living. At best, those are the unintended consequences. At worst, those are the main goals of global warmers. They need to cease and desist and allow us to be free, productive, responsible and happy. None of us want to pollute the earth but rather take care of it and use her resources properly.

Your starting to win me over Mtnman, You've said that it's a "hoax" a whole bunch of times, so like hearing it on the radio over and over and over, it just has to be true. After all just because 98% of the Climate Scientists agree doesn't mean anything, when you know that Al Gore is controlling their minds.

"Global warming is a known hoax. It has no basis in fact. The only purpose is to instill a pagan, earth-worshiping public policy and to bring about the decline of American production and standard of living."

That sounds sane alright?
It's a conspiracy to convert folks to pagan beliefs, and has nothing to do with science.

Kind of funny, the pagans new the earth was round, it took european christians to propose the flat earth theory.

@Heretic,

Let us all know when you and Obama have India, Russia, and China on-board to cut their CO2 emissions. Then, and ONLY then, can we think about making progress in reducing CO2 emissions.

Obama can’t even get China and Russia to deport Edward Snowden back to the U.S., let alone get them to agree to cut CO2 emissions.

Obama’s “pep-talk” today is all about politics and has absolutely nothing to do about cutting CO2 emissions.

Obama's policies ONLY hurts the poor and the middle class.

That is the true face of the left.

Sorry poor, you will have freeze to death this winter, so the left can feel good about themselves supposedly saving the earth by gaining more control over our businesses.

Some questions:

1. When has climate not changed?
2. What kind of grades did Obama receive in school that makes him an authority?
3. Can pollution from volcanoes, and forests fires be regulated?
4. Where are the real terrorist threats to America?

We need to change the climate in government, and bring back the Constitution.

Happy Valley. I recommend you do some research about scientist's most recent statements about climate change and don't just rely on those here in the US who work for the US government either by contract or directly. For example: In a June 20 interview with Spiegel Online, German climate scientist Hans von Storch said that despite predictions of a warming planet the temperature data for the past 15 years shows an increase of 0.06 or “very close to zero.

Another scientist, professor Nils-Axel Morner, retired professor from Stockholm University, who enlightened a large group of appreciative students and professors on the perils of Climate Change stated the perils of climate change was totally unfounded in observational reality. He stated the seas are NOT rising and that the problem is “Shifting science and changing policy,” Russian scientist have also debunked global warming, but who is listening to them?
