    @worf --

    Now now, worf Don't be bitter just because the Supreme Court ruled against DOMA.

    Even if you don't support gay marriage, any person of good faith should agree that penalizing homosexuality with a DEATH SENTENCE is waaaaay beyond the boundaries of civilized society.

    Pathetic how we depend on government to define marriage, and changed the word rationalization to civil rights.

    @worf --

    "If it's civil rights, why do we send them billions of dollars, and support their laws?"

    The US sends money to LOTS of countries, even those whose laws we don't always agree with, for many different reasons. We'd have to look at this particular issue country by country in order to answer your question.

    @worf

    "Please! This isn't about civil rights."

    Of course it is.

    Some countries still have the DEATH PENALTY for homosexuals. How is that NOT about civil rights??

    It's ludicrous that people in any country can still be killed by their own governments just for being gay.

    I applaud Obama's efforts to encourage gay rights worldwide. It's time for these countries to get serious about protecting the civil rights of their citizens.

    This is what the gay rights issue SHOULD be about- No one should live in fear.
