I was actually over there (in Amhman, Jordan) in May of 2012 for Exercise Eager Lion 2012. 2012 was the first time we added multi-national airpower to the exercise. We had U.S. F-15Cs, AV-8Bs, F-18s, KC-130s, UH-1s, AH-1s, HH-60s, UV-22s, and a smattering of other airframes from U.S. forces plus aircraft from Jordanian, Saudi Arabian and even Iraqi forces. Working with the Jordanian Royal Air Force guys was pretty cool once you got through a bit of a language barrier (English is the international language of aviation but they don't speak English as well as a native American).

I got lucky and was billeted in a 4-star hotel in Ahman. Some of the other guys I worked with stayed in tents. Along with my accomodations I received a massive per diem amount and made a chunk of money for a 32-day deployment.

Not a bad gig but I'm glad I only had to go once!

Why do we protect the Jordan border, but not ours? Seems we give guns to Mexican cartels, who kill our people, and allow mid-easterners to enter, and bomb Boston, and shoot soldiers at Fort Hood.

How many borders in the world, are we defending?
