I not sure but when someone knows nothing and thinks they know every thing.
should do well in politics.
Skeptical, I in fact did see some color pictures of Zimmerman as he came into
the police department, and he definately had some facial injuries and blood.
the black and white photos did not show that.
Ultra BobYou're right, you would be a poor selection for the
jury for this or ANY trial. If you think, and I'll quote from
your post, "It has nothing to do with whether he is guilty or
innocent"... then yes you would make a very poor selection for any jury. You also proclaim, "I have a very profound dislike for people who
take it upon themselves to enforce their wishes on others"... are YOU not
taking it upon yourself to enforce our wishes on others when you say "It
doesn't matter if he is guilty or innocent"?The hypocrisy
is just amazing. This is not a question of emotion or the amount of
hatred that can be mustered against the defendant. It's about the law,
not the emotion. We don't convict people based on emotion.
If you could impose our own wishes on others... and convict on emotion... Jessie
Jackson and AL Sharpton would have him in prison for life already. We're
lucky people like you are not in charge here and we still have a Constitution
that protects us from people like you.
IMO to the court it should be a matter of LAW... not Emotion. To you
and I and the media it can be all about emotion, anger, etc, but in a court of
law... it's about the law.If we decide we should be able to
convict people on the level of emotion of the bystanders... we would have a lot
of innocent people being convicted to satisfy our emotion. That's not the
way it's supposed to work in a court of law.
cjb and others,"If Travon was slamming Zimmerman's head
into the sidewalk..."That's a very big if. The video from
the police department when Zimmerman was initially brought in for questioning
doesn't seem to show any facial injuries at all.As I've
said, there are a lot of different versions of the facts in this case out there,
and it isn't clear at all what happened. I expect that evidence (something
none of us have access to) will come out at the trial that will establish many
of these facts. The verdict should then be based on evidence, not the
speculations that people are engaging in here.
If Travon was slamming Zimmerman's head into the sidewalk, then Zimmerman
shooting Travon was justified self defense.
"This is OJ all over again."If Zimmerman is acquitted for this
murder, I hope the Martin family remembers all their options... sue in civil
court for wrongful death.
Igualmente and Patriot are exactly right. The kid is a proven drug
user who attacked Zimmerman
Hey everyone, don't worry, we have WHAT NOW? in St.George. He knows the
facts. Patriot, yes this could be an OJ case all over again, but in
reverse. And the disappointing thing was, OJ did get a fair trial. The fair
trial ended up letting a murderer go free.
I would be a poor selection for the jury for the trial of George Zimmerman. It has nothing to do with whether he is guilty or innocent, I have a
very profound dislike for people who take it upon themselves to enforce their
wishes on others.
The facts, which at present are confused and contradictory, will come out in the
trial. Until then, most of this is pointless speculation. The one fact that
everyone agrees on is that Zimmerman shot an unarmed kid in the chest and killed
him. That will have to be explained in the trial, if Zimmerman is to be
George Zimmerman is innocent. The man defended himself against a pot smoking kid
that attacked him and bloodied him up. I suspect had this been a white or
Hispanic man killed by a black man there would have been no issue. The PC
culture we live in today is terrible. There is no way Zimmerman is going to get
a fair trail. This is OJ all over again.
Zimmerman, a volunteer night watchman had every right to be suspicious of a
stranger in his neighborhood, to follow and observe someone who may have been up
to no good casing his neighborhood for opportunities. When the suspect
confronted him and commenced to assault Zimmerman, bashing his head on the
sidewalk, then punching him incessantly, until Zimmerman decided he had no
option by to defend himself with deadly force. Self-defense is how I see it.
Zimmerman, an armed vigilante, stalked, confronted and murdered an unarmed
minor.Zimmerman made the decision to be judge, jury and
executioner.Zimmerman's only hope is that the judge, jury and
executioner are more merciful to him than he was to the unarmed minor.
