any Utahn who continues to vapidly swoon over Obama in the face of blatant facts indicating that Obama has severe ethical problems should be embarrassed (over their own self induced myopathy)

those resorting to blaming "Faux News" for Obama's ethical lapses obviously have no credible defense for Obama's suspect behavior and are lashing out to divert attention from that reality

Cartoons, talk-shows, stand-up comedians: forget them all, these comments are comedy at their best. Unfortunately, the future of the country is at stake! We are teetering on economic collapse, our laws are ignored by government officials, the media is more interested in "scoops" than facts, the average citizen is clueless about who holds office or what the constitution actually says, pundits on the right and the left make a living off from the ensuing turmoil, a large majority of people are more interested in Sunday sports than the rest of the news, and there is an attitude in the White House that is reminiscent of the "Know Nothing" political party in existence 150 years ago. Where are Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul, Mary, and the Kingston Trio ('when will we ever learn', from "Where have all the flowers gone?") when we really need them?

Wow, a lot of bitter words from everyone on here. Political beliefs aside, why have we allowed this ridiculousness to go on for so long? Why are we allowing it to continue? It all began before any of us were born, and we as a people are just now coming to the point of irritation? This kind of conduct should not be acceptable in Washington anymore by anyone. It makes no difference whether it is a sitting Republican or Democrat. It should not be tolerated nor acceptable.

Barack Obama has been president for four and a half years. He's in his second term. At what point does he stop blaming Bush, and take responsibility for his own decisions?

Benghazi, IRS targeting of conservative groups, seizure of AP phone records, Fast and Furious, the Syria debacle, and the Obamacare disaster are all products of the Obama administration. He only looks foolish trying to pretend he had nothing to do with them.

    Maverick,
People who can't even try to understand the complexity of the issues in the middle-east, and people who have such a limited understanding of the real situation in the middle-east are just so frustrating. The military action in Afghanistan and Iraq were not just about one thing or getting one man (binLaden).

If Obama knew so much about the situation in the middle-east... and he knew Afghanistan was a mistake from the start... why did he keep our troops there his whole 8 years and just recently commit US troops to Afghanistan until 2024 (when he said he could have them out in a year)?

Why did he start a new mini-war involving US troops in Libya?

Why did he send cruise missiles into a country we were not at war with when he took office (Pakistan)

Why did he send US troops to Nigeria and Mali?

If he knows all, why is North Korea and Iran still getting Nukes. Why has he had such a hard time having any influence with Iran, Syria, Egypt as they slipped into anarchy?

He's obviously smart. But obviously not as smart as Maverick and others think.

what shall be the faux storm of the week? Only Murdock knows.

Why did George Bush ignore warning of an Alqaeda attack using our own airplanes? Why did his administration say they could have never imagined it when they were already told about it?

Why did building #7 fall when it wasn't even hit by an airplane?

Why didn't republicans demand answers and blame Bush for his incompetence in keeping the country safe?

Republicans say, "Bush who?" I know you hate to talk about George Bush but there it is. You voted for him twice you deserve to hear his name for the eternities.

401K more then doubles since the anointed on took office? Really? Prove it! Yes the stock market is way up, but not really tied to any true economic standards. All leftists should now be supporting the idea of privatizing social security, since the great savior knows how to double stocks, and 401K's. Much better return then SS.

"This is the most intelligent President, the most compassionate President, and the most competent President we've ever had. "

You can't even be taken seriously with comments like that. You do realize some of the previous presidents that we have had right? Blind allegiance serves no purpose.

    Open minded mormon,
Iraq accounts for less than 3% of oil consumed by the US. And, since 2001(pre 9/11) the amount the US has imported from Iraq has gone down. So, going to war with a country to get less oil doesn't work.

Osama ben Laden was caught through the diligence of intelligence gleaned in the Bush years.
Obama’s Watch: 39 Months, 69 Percent of Afghan War Casualties
    Gitmo is still open
Iraq is still at a bloody battlefield
Thanks to Cash for Clunkers the prices are sky high and used cars are harder to get.
The numbers of people on food stamps is higher than in the history of the US
There are over 50 million people receiving disability payments
There are fewer people in the work force today than when Obama took office
Gas has gone from $1.85 for a gallon of regular to $3.82
US involvement in Libya without the consent of Congress
According to the Treasury Department, the national public debt now stands at $16,687,289,180,215.37. On the first day of Obama’s first term, the debt was $10.626 trillion.
    Etc.Etc.Etc

And how is your 401K? Mine is still down by over half.

The Obama administration knew within hours that the Benghazi attack was orchestrated and not spontaneous but Susan Rice and the President STILL went out on national TV and at the UN numerous times and blamed it on a video no one had even scene. The ambassador called for help before it happened and was ignore. How did anyone know that those who could have helped wouldn't be there in time? The attack lasted for hours and our ambassador was tortured.

@Open Minded Mormon "Which is it righties?"

Congress is in the process of finding out. We know from the investigations that Obama and his cabinet and spokesmen have lied at every turn. This doesn't prove the president guilty of anything except lying, but it's an indicator.

It is appalling the blind allegiance of the left.
An ambassador and other Americans are being murdered in Benghazi and obama goes to bed.

It is appalling the blind allegiance [and short memories] of the right.
An embassy is attacked and 200 Marines are murdered in Lebanon and Reagan was never even woke up.

BTW - Which is it righties?

He knows that he should never make public much of his earlier record such as Occidental College papers lest he disclose that he registered as a foreign student.

He knows he can never disclose how he got a SS card connected to the state of Connecticut, where he's never been.

It is appalling the blind allegiance of the left.

An ambassador and other Americans are being murdered in Benghazi and obama goes to bed.

Obama meets with top IRS officials hundreds of times and we are to believe he knows nothing, and yet this assault on opposing voices happens just when he is running for President,

Obama administration illegally goes after the press in an attempt to find whistle-blowers, Obama administration has gone after more whistle-blowers than all other administrations combined,

    not really transparent is he?

This has been the most inept and incompetent, and most corrupt and scandal ridden administration we have ever had.

And it is astonishing the amount lies they are telling to cover it all up.

It was military and seal team six that got bin laden after many years of hard work, it had nothing to do with him obama or him coming into office.

It is silly, immature, and sycophantic, and deceiving, the analysis of obama from the left.

  • RedShirt USS Enterprise, UT
    June 2, 2013 5:58 p.m.

To "embarrassed Utahn!" if Obama is so competent, then why doesn't he have any idea what his subordinates are doing? Why is it that his office had no knowledge of an ambassador being under attack by terrorists until after the ambassador was killed?

To "Open Minded Mormon" lets see what he does know how to do:

Spend $6 Trillion on economic stimulus that never stimulates the economy.
Avoid responsibility when his appointees go astray
    Campaign
    Golf
Read speeches to elementary schools from a teleprompter
Appoint radicals and communists and avoid fault for the appointments.
Lie to the public about promises
Make Bush's policies bigger, more expensive, and more controlling.

Overall, not a great list of attributes to have for a President.

The repubs HAVE been focusing on the economy. That is why they have voted to repeal obomacare and otherwise stop BO from installing more of his damaging policies.

You know what really boggles my mind?

If the liberals comments about this letter. They eat the liberal mantra (through their media sources) and treat it like it is fact.

First - The "Two illegal Wars" - Every DEMOCRAT including Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid saw the same intelligence reports that Bush had. They all Voted for the US Military involvement. And before you reply with the untruth that intelligence reports were not the same... they were.

second - Bin Laden - Do you know "How" Obama was able to find him? Oh yea, the waterboarding that you all freak out about disclosed the identity of the courier Bin Laden used. That all came from Bush administration.

Third -WMD - No they did not find any actual weapons there. That is correct, but they found enough yellow cake uranium and other materials there to create WMD's with the scientist to put it together.

When Sadaam was captured, they integrated him about the WMD's.. In his own words he said he presented to the world the idea that he had them to prevent IRAN from trying something. He was more afraid of IRAN than the World Views.

    All this is verified.

  • atl134 Salt Lake City, UT
    June 2, 2013 11:23 a.m.

Why do you want Obama to be involved in the IRS and justice department? Aren't those things that should be as politically neutra as possible?

As for Benghazi... he called it an act of terror on day 2. By the end of September we already had it straightened out that it was not a result of a spontaneous protest. Military help that could've been sent wouldn't have made it on time, and the talking points were edited once, not a dozen times as ABC ended up incorrectly reporting. So... there's really no scandal there at all. Why weren't we better prepared? Hey at least that's a legitimate question. There was a report in December about it and then Secretary Clinton agreed with all the recommendations for changes. So... why are we arguing about this now?

  • Henderson Orem, UT
    June 2, 2013 9:49 a.m.

Here we are 7 months after the election and many of my fellow utahns who voted for Romney are STILL full of sour grapes. Instead of ripping Obama could we please go back to that idea which was kicked around at the end of the election (but seems forgotten by the pathetic GOP leadership and ignorant media) about that whole "moderate" stuff? I know rush and bro beck keep being radical and obnoxious because that's what sells. But real politicians compromise and real leaders (like McCain) recognize the need for reform.

Instead of holding onto sour grapes why not fix the problems which caused us to lose last election?

If not, then we will lose again in 2016. Moderate reforms are needed, one lined zingers from am radio are not.

how NOT to spend $3 Trillion on imaginary WMDs.
how stop a complete economic melt-down.
how to reverse the tail spin and slowly turn it around.
how to pass Healthcare for those with pre-existing conditions.
how to actually get the culprit of the 9/11 attacks - Osama Bin Laden.
that we need to energy independent from oil, and those other countries with it.
