Stamping out the sex assault scourges, could start with cleaning what's on television, movies, commercials, and the many examples stemming from our political leaders.

Saint Louis, MO

Hagel served as an enlisted soldier with no leadership experience. That is bizarre in and of itself. NPR reported that there are more men raped than women, at least by word of mouth. Paper charges are traditional and women are raped more. There is no excuse for that. However, in Hagel's war as in mine on board a Navy cruiser, there were no naked women to cope with in foxholes, at least until my last year. These are 18-19 year old men and women know the power that they have in the realm of enticement. The war of the sexes has two combatants. Neither one is right but according to Mr. Hagel, there is only one who is punished.
