Unbelievable

Traveled to Provo to watch the Y nine take on Saint Marys in baseball, but was lured to the action going on at the State High School track meet, just next door. I missed a good part of the baseball game because I couldn't bring myself to pull away from the action. Maybe it's because I have never ran a lick in my life, just lumbered. Both the boys and the girls were talented and dedicated to their individual events. I was proud of all of them and recalled a favorite quote, as I watched them give it their all, "A Coward dies a thousand deaths, a Brave man dies, but one".

Thanks to all those who kept me entertained and I have to believe that I'm going to make it a point, in the future, to take one of these in. I now know what I've been missing.

Glad you enjoyed it! Track and Field is the best deal in the entire UHSAA system, tickets are cheaper, they don't expect you to clear out after one contest, and you can see all divisions in one place. It's a great spectacle.

And the fact is, the performances are, as you say, unbelievable. Anyone that thinks kids today aren't hard working, dedicated or passionate about anything hasn't seen these kids.
