A fast resolution is impossible. The Governor and Legislature decided to wait for the Federal criminal investigation. Swallow lawyered up. Now, unless Swallow decides to resign there is no quick fix.

I know plenty of Republicans who are disgusted by the whole John Swallow issue and want to see it resolved justly (not just have it go away quietly). I'm sure there are also Democrats who are upset by the many allegations that the Obama administration is facing right now and hope for justice to be done more than they hope that the administration evades any guilt.

"Are you willing to show true integrity and show the same respect regarding Pres. Obama and the GOP witchhunts going on right now?"

I think he did, and I commend him.

"just as Republicans are gleeful about the White House allegations."

Virtually everything now is partisan and it is killing our country.

The debate sifts out as Democrats v. Republicans and has little to do with Mr. Swallow. If the state AG were actually the issue, everyone would wait for all of the facts to be presented.

    Owl, you make me LOL!
Are you willing to show true integrity and show the same respect regarding Pres. Obama and the GOP witchhunts going on right now?

    Did think so...

The debate sifts out as Democrats v. Republicans and has little to do with Mr. Swallow. If the state AG were actually the issue, everyone would wait for all of the facts to be presented. In the meantime we are subjected to continual no he isn't and yes he is. On a state level the Democrats are euphoric about Mr. Swallow, just as Republicans are gleeful about the White House allegations. Independents just shake their heads.

If our legislators in their current interim session fail to directly look into this matter, it leaves us to wonder whether many of them fear being painted by the same brush as Swallow and Shurtleff. After all, our legislature has resolutely opposed all attempts to limit campaign contributions. They insist that only they, themselves, control the investigations of ethical problems within their ranks. They insist that they never allow contributions to influence their voting.

We need more light. We need more. We need more.

Please consider the ethics legislation proposed by Utahns for Ethical Government.

Mr. Swallow is not a crook. He just said so.

Oh it will be resolved soon. Mr swallow has launched his own investigation into this. Help me to stop laughing when they "find" that he did "nothing" wrong. If only all criminals and unethical people could launch their "own" investigations!
