He wanted this in his late 1990s when President Clinton was involved in saving his impeachment. However, Sharif was ousted as the Army is more in control than the elected government. At least, the Army and Sharif appear to both want to have the Taliban down and out and people went to the polls even though the Taliban threatened. President Clinton attempt to get the bad guys once with a drone to show he did something. Monica is still on his mind but people don't care about morality in politics.

There are over 500 elections for national officers, one vote at a time. Caucuses do allow for people to discuss in public about the morality of the candidates. Debates such as television are just public displays of rhetoric and acting. They practice more with their ginned up questions and pat answers that they aren't true to the real people. The 19 debates for Republicans just was too much fodder for the Democrats to grab hold of an manipulate. No candidate could survive that kind of media abuse except for Benghazi, which according to the media didn't really happen. As Hillary says, "Who really cares?" Only politics? National Security?
