The BLS is made up of professionals in their fields of economics and statistics, etc. However, they have politicians at the head. After 5 years, some have just stopped or aren't eligible to keep on getting the aid and not that they don't need it. Some have retired and are getting social security and disability due to the stress and wear and tear on them.

They did put in that they adjusted the numbers for seasonal adjustments, which is one adjustment. When we had the great depression in the 1930s they didn't have statistics to help with the variety of employment services as they do now. This is a long-term recession complicated by the jobs going overseas without the same compensation and operations and maintenance packages that are offered here.

5-year low is this President's impact and with the Benghazi and other cases that the AHCA isn't going to cost us a dime more or impact on people with higher taxes, we have cause to question his veracity and integrity.

The stock market has gone up now but that could be an anomaly instead of the adjustment.
