Colonialism didn't leave these people with beliefs and practices that have helped them be free nations. It requires education and morality, every day. Those same colonialists would have done a similar process in our country if there wasn't a plan for a government with law and order. We had colonies that were separated and no rapid communication methods but they had the same belief that they wanted to be a country away from what they had before coming to this land. This land was not infiltrated with power and money fed leaders. Fortunately, we had people that listened, read and had beliefs that were internalized. When you read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution that has existed for 2 centuries, those men and their families had conviction, integrity and a belief in God and history.

Thank goodness that we had people above themselves, then. We still have the choice of electing good people or people that will make our country a risky place to be born in. We could be a symbol of freedom. Some people don't understand what that really means. It is not just a special place because of cars, homes, schools, but of people.
