Kobe Bryant has tremendous financial wealth, due to his ability to bounce a basketball and throw it through a hoop. As a human being, he runs a huge deficit, in both the character and conduct departments.

Bryant earned $52.3 million last season ($20.3 salary and $32 million from endorsements). Pretty good pay.

Bryant just lost his THREE mansions in Huntington Beach, CA (worth 18.3 million) to his ex wife in his recent divorce.

He does not get along with his mother or father. He was accused of rape in 2003, but eventually charges were dropped when the victim refused to testify, and an out of court civil settlement was reached where Kobe admitted no guilt but said the case made him a better man.

Some NBA stars have bought their Moms nice homes. If Kobe doesn't want to do that, then just let him buy all his old stuff at the auction (he can afford to buy every item) and then he will own it and Mom can get a house.

Some people are great athletes, but no all great athletes are great men or role models.
