"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and
hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it
costs nothing to be a patriot." --author Mark Twain
Doesn't Pat Buchanan own the term "culture war"? Doesn't the
NRA owe him something for using it? Come to think of it, can there only be one
"patriot" posting here who collects from everyone else who want to use
the term? How about a good old American lawsuit to get to the TRUTH (oops,
that's taken, too).
I love the NRA and am a proud member. I love -even more- the fact that they were
successful in defeating Obama and his constitution killing legislation. The NRA
is more popular now than ever and I think as people see the 'real'
agenda of Obama - to rid the US of ALL guns and make ready the complete ushering
in of Socialism they will recognize that this great organization is on their
side and fighting for their bill of rights and constitution. It is a hard thing
to sort through all the left wing propaganda and lies from the Obama media but
truth has a way of rising to the top eventually. America is not about the
government - it is about the people and the fight (or war) is the people vs the
progressive government in this case. GO NRA!!!!
the winners are amo, compannies and gun companies that are making record sales
on propaganda, and total fiction. no has written anything saying they would take
weapons away. only limit the crazy stuff that cat be bought now. tell one real
use of a silencer. you can buy them. when i was a kid it was illegal. the only
use is for murder in quiet mode. you can buy 100 round magazine for the .223.
only real use kill as many people at a time with one load. the fear factor is
the most silly. evil government is coming to get us we need to defend. where is
this evil force? yet the NSA is building the biggest intel collection center in
the world in utah county, and some of the same pro gun guys are all for that for
the money, brought in. this will enable them to monitor all electronic
communications in this country. this is a real thing.
@Bored to the point of THIS!Ogden, UTMany of us will be
embarassed in the hereafter because we got so caught up in the worldly things
such as this.11:55 a.m. May 3, 2013============= Agreed. To pro-Gun L:atter-Day Saints I have to ask - What sort of weapons will be allowed in the Celestial Kingdom? What sort
of Heat is Jesus packing?I don't see any in the Temples, so all
I can sugest is YOU are going to be on the embarassed side of judgement.
DN,Ronald Reagan was a strong supporter of the Brady Bill, he
advocated restricting assault style weapons and instituted a 15 day waiting
period in California.Add him to your list of "enemies of
We are our own worst enemy. We have lost our identity as sons and daughters of
God. We've become political and ideological slaves to the world we're
currently forced to live in. Many of us will be embarassed in the hereafter
because we got so caught up in the worldly things such as this.
@iron&clayRIVERTON, UTIt was actually the Constitution of
the United States and ALL the people who are guaranteed the right to bear arms
that are the winners.8:37 a.m. May 3, 2013========== Including ALL known criminals, and ALL mentally ill.The rest
of us are the Loosing victims to them and those to continue to supposed them ...
The National Rifle Association is the original civil right advocacy group, and
every American should be proud of the NRA's victory over the latest
attempts at infringements on our rights recognized (not GRANTED) by the
Constitution. However, the enemies of freedom still plot to inflict
their infringements on the People. Anyone not a member should
consider joining, even if your concern is mainly freedom of religion, freedom of
the press, racial equality or some other area. First they came for the guns...
Methinks "Monopoly" is more likely that "Monarchy". Anyway,
let's hope against the evidence that Mr. Iron's factless fearmongering
approach doesn't always dominate Congress.
"who want to bring the United States back under the subjection of a monarchy
such as the one that we broke away from back in 1776."Yes,
because that is a totally real possibility. Where do you guys come up with this
stuff?Do you have any idea how ludicrous it sounds?
The losers of course, are arrogant British aristocrats like Pierse Morgan and
other 'loyalists' who want to bring the United States back under the
subjection of a monarchy such as the one that we broke away from back in 1776.
The legislation didn't violate the constitution. And it was the people of
the US who went down to a huge defeat. So did the idea that government is for
and by the people.
Having read the headline and not the article, I feel that it would be safe to
say that this AP story is trying to manipulate people to subconsciously think
that it was the NRA that won a legislative battle. It was actually
the Constitution of the United States and all the people who are guaranteed the
right to bear arms that are the winners.
