While I applaud what Summit Academy has been able to achieve in such a short time, it still needs to be said that of the 16 teams that qualified for the 2A tournament, 11 are small "Private" schools, ALL of which are located in larger urban areas. The schools they are competing against are in mostly small rural communitys...Beaver,Parowan,Gunnison. While these community Youth Soccer programs struggle to compete with the big 3 Football-Basketball-Baseball,Academys in these Larger urban areas have an abundace of athletes to choose and sometimes scholarship to come to their school. It's for this very reason that even in the 5A ranks nationaly...better than half of the top teams in the country are Private schools. It's the nature of the Beast these days. But to ALL the Teams competing, Good Luck, and oh yea, GO BURR KID! GO BULLDOGS!!
