    Jay Evensen. You are right, we don't have bread lines today. We have food stamps. Over 47 million Americans, 15% of the population are receiving food stamps. Food Stamps are the new bread line.

    That's because the Republicans and their "let them eat cake", lazsez-faire attibute of Hoover and his hoover-villes stood back and let people jump off skyscrapers to end their problems.

    Probably because repubs back then weren't all 100 percent determined to make FDR a one term president. Some might have even actually cared about America.
