Sounds like she was drunk too and trying to get a pass on fame. Treat her like everybody else, the worst punishment for a celebrity.

The officer was out of line and she and her husband have every right to disobey unjustified police officer actions. Police are servants, threat of not and we as Americans can challenge the police for every thing they try to do. When officers become a threat to citizens, citizens have a right to confront police officers who act and perform outside the laws and rights of citizens.

Citizens rights and powers are absolute, police have no powers and rights in representing the governemnt in oppressive and aggressive behaviors. We are not obligated to consider police departments as god heads, we the people are the law and demand the respect due us in process of constitutional rights.

This kind of behavior of law enforcment is intolerable and disrespectful.

"Do you know who I am?"
Darn it, I thought she was different than other "stars'.
And I agree, drunk is drunk. I am glad they were caught, too!

@My2Cents, said, "The officer was out of line and she and her husband have every right to disobey unjustified police officer actions."

How do you know the officer was out of line and was unjustified in his actions? Were you there when they both were arrested? From all indications in this story, they were both DRUNK!

Here is hint 2Cents. No REASONABLE person should ever disobey a police officer when directed by him/her. Confronting a police officer on-site is never a good idea – you will loose every time if you do.

If they are indeed out of line, take it up after-the-fact with their superiors, their conduct review boards, or take it to Court if you have a case.

"You're about to be on national news,". That's one of my favorite quotes. I think that's true.. unfortunately for Witherspoon.
