I remember President Obama saying that the relations with Russia would be very good after the election when he has time away from campaigning. The President finally visited Israel and this is a preemptive move to maybe get things going with Russian leaders. Putin is a very adroit person and has experience more than on a basketball court. His capability as a KGB type of General and Russian leader in a variety of roles speaks loudly to an opponent or now friend who has experience as a politician in the United States of America.

Russia has much influence with other countries who are not on our side of the table and knows how to move those pawns toward whatever he wants. Putin gets these leaders or countries to cause us consternation around the world. He doesn't do much directly to cause us problems and puts on a good face with President Obama's publicity role. At least Putin still knows how to govern even in a country that has so many problems in their domestic lives. Their freedoms are still lost. They don't have an economic front. Russia's mafia is doing well with Russia's leaders.
