Wow! Leaders who so freely allow illegal immigrants to move in, want background checks for legal citizens?

Where were the background checks for Mexican cartels who received American guns?

Pass it and move away form the gun culture promoted by Senator Lee.

"Trying to pass stuff in the middle of the night without any time (let alone enough time) for proper study and debate results in garbage legislation like Obamacare."

If the GOP had its way in the Senate, there would be NO debate allowed.

Ask Mike Lee why debate is not good.

Anyway, relax. The House will shut down ANY and ALL potential gun laws.

Where is the language for the bills?
It is very deceptive to create public support for some vague scheme that sounds good when summarized by a glib politician. The devil is in the details, and that must be the exact legislative language which will become law so that people will be able to see what it really says, and then study to see what it really means and how it will be implemented. Trying to pass stuff in the middle of the night without any time (let alone enough time) for proper study and debate results in garbage legislation like Obamacare.

Show us the bill! Allow plenty of time for debate, no more secret bills, limited debate and passage in the middle of the night!

Ah, yes. The Battle of the Titans. In one corner, the NRA. In the other, 80% or more of public opinion. Consider, please: Of all the people you know, would you trust every one of them to own a military-style weapon, no questions asked? Think hard, because they can go to lots of public places.
