Want to reduce the number of abortions (it will never go away)? Massive sex education initiative, easily available contraception, economic development including good paying jobs, more investment and reforms for education, and do other things to better educate and raise the conditions for our people, all things that the right wing opposes. Simply banning it will be a terrible failure. Taking personal control away, including the ability to be educated and to have financial means, is never going to get us to the point of having a minimal number of abortions.

The way to diminish abortion is to prevent what causes it -- unwanted pregnancies. Increased contraception and education causes a drop in the number of unwanted pregnancies and, therefore, decreases the number of abortions. THAT is where Ryan should start.

Common ground" you say?
The GOP is calling for "Common ground"?
The GOP wants "Common Ground"?

Try starting with allowing for abortions for Rape, Incest, Life and Health of the Woman, and viability of the Fetus.

The GOP with their firm, uncompromising position of :
No aboartions,
ever,
Not for any reason what-so-ever,
...has no "Common Sense" - let alone "common ground".

This coming from a guy who is 100% against the use of contraceptives....

Mind-boggling.

Were concentration camps considered a common ground. Same result.
